Today’s project: replacing clutch master cylinder on 2008 Scion xB. The symptom was a spongy clutch pedal-often sticking to the floor. Customer- Nick Martinez- also described an airy sound when pushing down clutch pedal. Based on the sound and symptoms, it seemed the clutch master blew a seal on the piston, so replacement was needed. Luckily the component was readily accessible.... not 😂😂 This was a fun project who can resulted in a properly driving vehicle and a happy customer. At DA3 Auto, your vehicle makes us Family!

Here’s an example of one of the most crucial steps of our headlight restoration service. Painters tape is used to protect the paint surrounding the headlights. We then use a special Brillo pad attachment on a drill, along with Maguiar’s PlastX compound to clear up the oxidation. This step is done multiple times (5 times minimum) to achieve the desired opacity. Keep in mind, oxidation May also occur on the inside of the light assembly, and this step only handles exterior aging. However, you can see a clear improvement from the before and after pictures. After the oxidation removal process is completed, we apply a sealer-much like sunblock for your headlights- to decelerate harmful UV rays, and other elements, which cause damage to your headlights. Here’s how we remove oxidation from aged headlights. This step is done repeatedly (5 times or more) to achieve the clearest possible result. After the oxidation is removed, we apply a sealer to assist in preventing any further UV damage. Notice how we take extra precaution and protect the paint surrounding the headlight by using painters tape. Results may vary depending on age and location of vehicle.
