Setup time. โฑ๏ธ

Pull up. Park next to the car. Open the van. Open the hood. Lay out the tools. Start the work.

The standard isn't just how we do the install. It's how we show up.

Can you guess what we're applying here? ๐Ÿค”

Drop your guess in the comments. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Hint: it's not glue. It's not paint. And it's the step that determines whether your new windshield lasts 10 years or starts giving you problems in 10 months.

We get this look a lot.

What you're seeing isn't damage. It's the first step of a rock chip repair, drilling a tiny pilot opening into the chip so resin can flow deep into the cracks and bond from the inside out.

Looks aggressive. Sounds worse. But it's exactly what saves your windshield.

Without this step, the resin just sits on the surface. The chip might look fixed for a week, then spread the next time the temperature drops. With it, the resin penetrates the entire damaged area, locks the glass together, and stops the crack from going anywhere.

No shaky hands. No second guesses. ๐ŸŽฏ

You can't fake confidence on any car.

It comes from reps. Years of pulling glass, lifting windshields, setting them down in exactly the right spot on exactly the right bead of urethane. Done enough times that the technique doesn't change when the car does.

A high-tech eye exam for your car ๐Ÿ‘€

That target board is an ADAS calibration tool.

Modern vehicles use cameras and sensors behind the windshield to power lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise, emergency braking, and 360 parking. When the windshield comes off, those sensors shift. Even a fraction of a millimeter off can throw the whole system out of alignment.

Calibration realigns them.

We position the target at an exact distance and angle, then run a diagnostic that tells your car's computer to "look" at it and recalibrate to factory spec.

Most shops skip it, charge extra, or send you elsewhere. We don't. Calibration is part of the job, done on-site, before you drive away.

Okay, full transparency, it's not actually 10 seconds. We just needed you to stop scrolling. ๐Ÿ˜…

In reality, a proper rock chip repair takes about 20 to 30 minutes from setup to finish. Here's why:

๐Ÿ”น Cleaning the chip so the resin can bond properly
๐Ÿ”น Injecting the resin into the damaged area, slowly, so it fills every crack
๐Ÿ”น Pulling a vacuum to remove air bubbles trapped in the glass
๐Ÿ”น Curing under UV light so the resin hardens completely
๐Ÿ”น Polishing the surface so it's smooth and clear

Each step matters. Skip one, rush one, or shortcut the process, and the repair won't hold. The chip spreads anyway. You waste time, money, and end up needing a full replacement.

So no, it's not 10 seconds. But it's still way faster (and cheaper) than waiting until you need a brand-new windshield.

Focused on the small stuff. ๐ŸŽฏ

A rock chip is small. The work that goes into fixing it right? Not so small.

What you're seeing is the kind of close-up focus most people never associate with auto glass. Steady hands. Sharp eyes. Carefully working resin into a chip the size of a pencil tip, because the difference between a chip that disappears and a chip that turns into a crack often comes down to a few seconds of precision.

This is how the old windshield comes out.

What you're seeing is a wire-out, one of the cleanest ways to remove a windshield without damaging anything around it.

The wire threads through the urethane bond and slices cleanly along the frame. Done right, it cuts only what needs to be cut, no scratched paint, no damaged trim, no harm to the pinch weld underneath.

Why does that matter? Because the new windshield is only as good as the surface it bonds to.

He could've taken it anywhere. He called us. ๐Ÿ”ง

Owners of cars like this don't just hand the keys to anyone. The windshield has to be perfect. The trim has to sit flush. The seal has to last.

That's the reputation we've built, the team that gets called when getting it right matters.

This is the bead that holds it all together.

That's automotive-grade urethane, laid down in a clean, even bead along the frame.

That's why we slow down on this step. Steady hand, consistent pressure, no gaps. Skip the prep or rush the bead, and the whole install is compromised, leaks, whistles, premature failure.

Done right, you don't think about it for years.

That's the goal.
