In this episode of Motor Misfits, we hit the road from Plainfield, Illinois and headed south to Salem, Indiana for an unforgettable weekend filled with family, motorcycles, food, friends, and small-town motorcycle culture.

🎓 FIRST STOP: VERONICA’S 4TH GRADE CLAP OUT!
One of the biggest highlights of the trip was celebrating Veronica as she officially wrapped up 4th grade and prepares to become a 5th grader! Proud dad moment for sure. ❤️

🏍️ MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE DAY
Before the fun could begin, we spent some time wrenching on the bike and getting everything ready for the road ahead. Every rider knows the work behind the scenes is part of the journey.

🥡 AMAZING CHINESE FOOD
No road trip is complete without good food, and we found some incredible Chinese food along the way that definitely hit the spot.

We rolled into Salem Bike Night where riders from all over gathered for an evening packed with motorcycles, conversations, local businesses, and great people. Over 80 bikes showed up, creating an awesome atmosphere in one of Indiana’s coolest small-town motorcycle communities.

Better known by riders as The Triple Nickel 🐍🔥

This road has become LEGENDARY in the motorcycle world for one reason… it’s absolutely INSANE in the best possible way. Tight twisties, steep elevation changes, blind corners, rolling hills, deep woods, rural scenery, and nonstop technical riding make this one of the craziest rides in the Midwest. 👊🔥

This isn’t your average relaxing scenic cruise either… this road demands your FULL attention from start to finish. It’s 60+ miles of curves, switchbacks, dips, and elevation changes that will test your riding skills while putting the biggest smile on your face 😈🏍️

🌲 WHAT MAKES THE TRIPLE NICKEL SO SPECIAL?
✅ Hundreds of curves
✅ Beautiful Appalachian scenery
✅ Minimal traffic
✅ Elevation changes that feel like a roller coaster
✅ Hidden small towns and biker stops
✅ Pure rider-focused roads

If you love roads like Tail of the Dragon, The Pig Trail, or aggressive backroad riding… the Triple Nickel deserves a spot on your ride list. 🔥
