Rescheduled for June 13th

🚨ATTENTION: ALL STOCK CAR TEAMS 🚨

Due to the forecasted weather for May 30th, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this weekend’s racing program at Speedway.

We know many of our racers and teams travel long distances to compete, and with the rising cost of fuel and travel expenses, we feel it is important to make this decision early enough to save everyone unnecessary time and money.

This is never an easy call, but we want to do what’s best for our racers, teams, fans, and staff. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support.

The May 30th event will now be rescheduled for June 13th, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at Newport then.

I met Kyle Busch for the first time over 20 years ago at Salem Speedway. Over the years, I had the opportunity to cross paths with him several more times while working at different tracks and series.

He was a fierce competitor on the track and, at times, not always liked by everyone, but one thing that could never be questioned was his loyalty and dedication to his fans. Beyond racing, he was a family man who made a lasting impact on the sport.

He will most definitely be missed around racing. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and all who knew him.
