Jonathan Walter "Jonny K" Komperda age 37 of St. Louis, MI passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 with Deacon John Cremin officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes in St. Louis, MI.
Jonathan was born in Alma, Michigan on August 29, 1979 the son of Thomas and Carol (Bishop) Komperda. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1997.
Jon had worked at Morbark in Winn, MI for 10 years. He was currently employed at BCRV in St. Louis. Jon loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and spending time at Higgins Lake with his family. His dog Rocket held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his parents Tom and Carol Komperda, his sister Jessica and Chris Beyer of Wellington, OH, niece and nephew; Avery and Gavin Beyer, his aunts Debbie and David Mulka of Walker, MI, and Kathy and Dale Kortman of Houghton Lake, MI. He is also survived by special friends Ben and Missy Steele and Michele and Lloyd Brock, numerous cousins and his dog Rocket.
Jon was preceded in death by grandparents Walter and Frances Komperda, John and Geraldine Bishop, and his uncle Ted Komperda.
