Not something that we normally do, but we put a new V8 motor in an inboard 1970 Chris Craft xk19 boat. Big project pulling the old junk motor out , and putting a new motor and new exhaust manifolds and lots of other work including rebuilt transmission and V-drive. Well today we started the motor and it lit right off. Very happy and proud of the work we did. Just a few more pieces to put back on the boat and we will be done. Learned a lot on this project, and had a lot of fun. I took many of the pictures so I'm not in them, but I got a few with Randy and Charlie.

Don Honstein put together a picnic for today. Our Peers car club was represented, along with the Burgiemen and the Thunderbolts. We had a good time and there was a nice turnout.

Putting together a 350 small block Chevrolet motor to be installed in a 1970 Chris-Craft boat. Learning a lot about marine engine installs. Been pretty interesting so far. I've Learned a lot. Been fun.

Randy and Monty started "The Peers" car club in 1966. This is my (Monty's) original jacket that we had made. It's not even close to fitting anymore. It must have shrunk an awful lot over the years. Haha.
We also made our own car plaques back then for our club. We don't have a very large membership, because it's just a group of friends who enjoy tinkering and driving old cars. We are all getting pretty old now, but friendships are the most important thing.
