After 3 very difficult years of building this car while battling health issues, it’s hard to believe that this day has finally arrived.
It’s alive! There are a few things to work out, but I think we can count this a success!
I am ever grateful to my lovely wife, Chantel Federico, who was not only supportive beyond what I could ask, but was hands-on with the build many times, and even helped install the motor. We are going to have many great times at car shows with our children!
I’d also like to thank every friend I’ve made over the years that has been an instrumental part of this build and allowed me to leverage their professional experience, and learn from both their successes and failures.
I know it was a big ask to cram and condense your years of experience, but I sincerely thank you for all of your time spent writing detailed replies, and showing endless patience.
We also extend a sincere thank you to all of the sponsors, without which this build would not be possible. It was quite the undertaking to strip the car down and replace every part at once, so your discounts and support allowed us to go beyond our hopes.
Thank you to Mark at Modular Motorsports Racing - MMR for this amazing 1500se motor with many billet parts, as well as your other accessories. It’s been great working with you, and your team, and we are glad to be part of the MMR family.
Thank you to Terry at TeamBeefcakeRacing.com for great pricing and helping us spec out details so quickly. I know you work a high demand business with many customers, and you do so with such class. We appreciate the continued relationship and now friendship.
Thank you to Moroso Performance Products, Inc. for the one-off valve covers, reservoirs, and other covers. The parts look fantastic and were a perfect fit. It certainly helps the build stand out a bit more!
Thank you BMR Suspension for all the red! Yes, it’s all about the red! Strong tubular chromoly, weight reduction, and beautiful parts...it doesn’t get much better.
Thank you Borla Exhaust for these stunning S-Type’s and overaxles. I’m sure our neighbors will enjoy their well-balanced and tasteful sound around town when the exhaust cutout is closed.
Thank you Techflex for your 100% sponsorship! We like your product so much, that rather than bother you for more that we needed, we bought it out right. The F6, F360, high heat glass wraps, and silicone/glass sleeving are hands down the best we’ve seen. I even compared other products and there is something unique about your weave/braid that makes it feel much more consistent.
Thank you Racetronix for your amazing selection of fittings and hoses. We absolutely love your products and are excited that we pulled off a full stainless / teflon brake system that looks stunning.
Thank you McLeod Clutches for upgrading our RXT clutch to an RXT1200. We are sure we will need it with our horsepower goals!
Thank you Mishimoto Automotive for your beautiful radiator and hoses. The radiator looks so good, I don’t want to cover it!
Thank you Alan at Speed of Sound LLC for a beautiful button panel that is quite the centerpiece and matches the build perfectly. We are also proud to show off your two-pod pillar. Your talent and eye for detail is unmatched, and I’m glad we’ve grown to become friends.
Thank you Blowfish Racing for your renown and perfectly designed TR6060 support mount. The quality and fit is spot on, and I look forward to seeing how solid it feels to shift the car.
Thank you Aeroflow Performance for your high quality fittings that came to the rescue many times. When we can’t find something in the US, we know you make it, so you’ve become quite the go-to for us.
Thank you AutoPlumb for your genius design that allowed us to connect our AN fittings to existing water fittings without any welding. The instructions were very clear and allowed us to make a perfect and solid connection that looks great!
Thank you all so very much. We look forward to our continued relationship, and hope to make some magazine covers and featured posts online! Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
Now it is time to work some tuning magic with the 3v master, Manuel Pazo (AKA Lito).
