Race day at Southern National Motorsports Park today and man was it a hot one. Between the outside temp and track temps, the car was not happy. She was loose going in and tight as all get out coming out of the turns. Started in 5th, somehow, and battled to 3rd for half the race. Unfortunately a fast car had some issues causing them to drop back and we took 2nd. Due to a mishap with lap traffic the leader got loose and we were able to slide by him for a few laps until he overpowered us and took it back. Had to fight today but brought home 2nd place and I’ll take that any day! Couldn’t have done it without the team, Mark Medeiros and Hollee Hanshaw and of course my Jack man Kinzlee lol.

We brought home 4th last night in the middle of some fast cars. The picture is me sticking it in the middle on a very chaotic start to the race. Only had 1 caution and was able to use that to my advantage and take 4th and keep it for the last 7 laps. Hopefully tonight we can come home with a top 3 but ultimately wanting a top 5 and I’ll be ecstatic with this little 4cyl surrounded by 6-8 cylinders lol.

We are officially registered for the 2025 Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park on November 28th and 29th. Its going to be a great time and some great racing. Yesterday we had a solid car at Southern National Motorsports Park. We were second fastest all day but pill drew 6th. Got slowed up on the start and had to battle for positions. Mid race caution put us in 3rd for the restart. After some hard battling with that 08 mustang we were able to get in front of him and start gaining on the leader but didn’t have enough laps left to get the job done. I’ll take a hard fought 2nd place any day. Couldn’t have done any of it without my girlfriend Hollee and my dad Mark. Next race is October 25th for the last Road To The Classic race before the actual Thanksgiving classic back at SNMP.

This weekend we will have a new name on the car at Southern National Motorsports Park. We are excited to welcome Buck’s Electrical Services LLC to the team. I’ve known the owner for years and am proud to have him with us. He will also be with us next season as well! Contact them for any of your electrical needs! August 2nd recap: Spent the morning getting things done around the house and some other things, fully committed to not racing. Around 330 my crew talked me into doing it even though we knew we missed practice and would miss qualifying. So we packed up and decided what to do about tires since the rule change. Grabbed some throw away field tires we had laying around and mounted them up. Showed up to the track with no idea what to set anything at. I made a decision and was going to see what happed. About 10 minutes before having to line up I called an audible and made a change. We started 12th, since we didn’t qualify, and we sent it. Turn 1 was a little sketchy but I seen how the car handled and adjusted my driving style from there. We had to work around some cars and within 15 laps found our self in 5th. An unfortunate caution set us in 4th. Coming to the restart I did everything I could. Took a couple laps and we took 3rd and my sights were set on passing one more car. Got around the 2nd place car with about 4 laps to go and held on to the end. Not too bad of a day for a last minute decision and having no idea what was going to happen and I’ll take that any day! Thank you to my crew, Hollee and Mark, for talking me into racing and hanging in there with me. Went to Carteret County Speedway this past weekend. Car was still tight during practice, a problem we have had all season, and nothing I did was working. With some solid advice from Hunter Brown we got it free again and was able to set 2nd in qualifying while making some easy laps. After the first 3 races there was some rain. Once the track got dry they threw us on the track to help dry and to go race. I tried to stay with Sammy as much as I could but once he got traction he just left me lol. Finished the night in 2nd place. Currently sitting 6 points ahead, in 1st place for Carteret. This weekend we head to Southern National Motorsports Park for championship night where I will finish 2nd in points during my first season there. Let’s just hope Mother Nature plays along. As always thanks to my dad Mark, Hollee, Hunter, Paul and Haley for their help and advise.
