We recently hooked up with Sven's Sleeve to outfit all of our rentals with Sleeves & Covers for this ice season! We really appreciate them helping us get every house set up.

These are one of those products that just make sense in a rental especially for families with small kids or pets. The clear covers give you some extra security around the fishing holes while still allowing you to fish, and they definitely help keep phones, tackle, toys and everything else from accidentally ending up at the bottom of the lake.

We thought they were a great addition to our houses, and every house will have them included this winter.

If you’re new to our page, here’s a little bit about Ice Road Rentals!

We’re a family owned fish house rental business based in Rice, Minnesota. We offer year round, hitch and go Ice Castle rentals.

Our current winter rental lineup includes:

• Two 8×17 single axle houses
• 8×18 Itasca tandem axle
• 8×21 Denali tandem axle

Our houses are fully equipped to make your trip as easy as possible. Winter rentals include a generator, propane, cookware, bed sheets, rattle reels, an auger, bump board, hole sleeves and covers, slush scoop, shovel, wheel skirts and some other basic gear.

In each house you’ll also have a kitchen, bathroom, heat, TV, sleeping space and plenty of room to relax on the ice. We also offer optional add ons like Garmin LiveScope, Vexilar, Aqua-Vu and Starlink.

You pick up the house from us in Rice, tow it to your destination and enjoy the trip. Renters must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver’s license, carry full coverage insurance on the tow vehicle and use a 2-5/16” ball. We do have insurance available if yours doesn’t cover our rental.

We post plenty of customer pictures, reviews, fishing videos and fun from the road but behind all of that, we’re simply a small family business working hard to provide clean, dependable fish houses and a great rental experience.

Now is a great time to start planning a trip north to see Minnesota’s fall colors!

September is one of the most popular times to explore the North Shore, with the trees beginning to turn and plenty of state parks and campgrounds remaining open well after Labor Day.

Make a full weekend out of it with one of our equipped Ice Castle rentals. Our 17’ to 21, foot RV style fish houses sleep 4–6 people and include the essentials, along with a bathroom, shower, Heat, and A/C. They also lower right down to the ground for easy access and setup.
