IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR! THE ANNUAL RT. 11 YARD CRAWL! AUGUST 8TH... 7AM TO 3PM

The Route 11 Yard Crawl is over 43 miles of yard sales and business sales along the Old Valley Pike, U.S. Route 11. It’s Virginia’s largest yard sale, offering hundreds of individual yard sales, shopping and food trucks. There is no official starting point for the crawl, however the official crawl is from New Market to Stephens City. You may start at any point. The Route 11 Yard Crawl is a partnership of the Towns of Strasburg, Woodstock, Edinburg, Mt. Jackson and New Market, the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce and the Shenandoah County Tourism Office.

Please note: The health and safety of our community and visitors remains a top priority. Due to Covid-19 many vendors will not be participating as in years past. Please understand that this year may be a smaller Crawl under these new guidelines.

For the health and safety of our community and the Yard Crawl participants we recommend that everyone follow the CDC guidelines to include:

-Cloth face coverings highly recommended in public settings and when around people.
-Maintain at least 6' physical distance between persons not living in the same household.
-Practice routine cleaning and disinfection of high contact areas and hard surfaces.
-Utilize best hygiene practices of hand washing and/or hand sanitizer often.
-If you're sick, please stay home and plan to visit us next year!

SEPTEMBER 20TH THRU. SEPTEMBER 22ND - EDINBURG OLE' TIME FESTIVAL, Edinburg, VA
On the third Friday of each September, this sleepy little town, nestled along US-11 (Exit 279 on I-81), comes alive with the Festival of music, arts, crafts, parade, entertainment and great food. The best part of the Festival, though, is our people. The theme is that of another time. A time when things moved a little slower, a time when people took the time to visit with each other, but most of all, a time when everybody enjoyed the life they had and the friends they shared.

AMERICAN FRIGHT NIGHT – Shenandoah Caverns @
American Celebration, Quicksburg, VA

American Celebration will be open from 7-9:30pm. American Fright Night returns to American Celebration on Parade starting October 12th! Giant parade floats in the dark? Scary enough. Turn it into a 40,000 sq. ft. haunted attraction with scary scenes from your worst nightmares around every bend? Truly terrifying. The cost is only $13 per person, or $10 for Shenandoah County Schools students with ID.
FAQs: Is it scary? Yes, the attraction is scary. We do not recommend it for children under age 12. Admission is nonrefundable once purchased, even if you choose not to enter once you hear the screams. How long will it take? It generally takes around 15-20 minutes to go through the attraction, though times differ based on how fast you walk (or run!). How many people go through in a group? We prefer to send a maximum of 5-6 people through together in a group. The fewer the number in your group, the better the scare factor. However, if you come with a slightly larger group then we'll be happy to let you enter together. How do I get tickets? Tickets can be purchased at the door or online www.shenandoahcaverns.com.

Virginia Cider Festival // General Admission

Valley Pike Farm Market is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Virginia Cider Festival to benefit Mercy House on Saturday, July 21st!

Mercy House is a local non-profit that fights to reduce poverty and homelessness in the Shenandoah Valley while working to provide services, education, and assistance to prevent future homelessness for families. Mercy House has been prominent within our community for 30 years as of this year, and the Virginia Cider Festival will commemorate the impact it has had on the families in the Valley. A portion of all proceeds from the Virginia Cider Festival at Valley Pike Farm Market will directly benefit Mercy House and the families that they support. We are so excited and honored to work side by side with them for such an amazing cause!

This festival will be held on Saturday July 21, 2018 at Valley Pike Farm Market. More than 15 Virginia cideries will be present with more than 45 different hard ciders for tasting and purchase! Live music will be offered throughout the entire day and includes Mike Davis, Thieves of Burden, Strong Water and The Barons!
