Up until a couple days ago we had Pepto in the shop getting some much needed upgrades and repairs after not being able to drive it most of the summer after Back to the Fifties 2025.

The electric fan that was on the radiator didn’t pull enough cfm as it got older causing the car to overheat in almost any nice cruising weather. We put a 6 blade rigid fan mounted to a heavy duty fan clutch which fixed that issue in almost a night and day difference. Temps don’t even climb above 200 degrees anymore.

The front pump seal was also leaking on the transmission, it has a TH350. We pulled that out of the car and put a reseal kit in it for any parts that could use a new seal. Upgraded the pan gasket to a Moroso rubber with steel core gasket. No more cork gaskets over here!

When Pepto came in, she was also not running. After a little diagnosing, we figured out the starter was the issue. But it has a 3 year old MSD mini high torque starter, intriguing! We pulled it apart and found it completely rusted up. We took sanding paper and cleaned it all up with that and put it back together resealing the O-rings. It works like brand new once again!

After the classic car season, Pepto is already on the schedule to get a new wiring harness, steering column and a fuel system upgrade.

A personal project of mine

An all original 1951 4dr mercury with the 255 flathead. The plan is to keep the car 6V, replace the wiring harness, and convert the tires from bias ply tube tires to radial tubeless tires.

With a paint job and freshened up interior in its future.

Here we have a 1955 Chevy 3100 hot rod project.

In the late 90s another fellow hot rodder took his/her attempt at turning this truck into a tire roaster. Now 25 years later, still not done, it’s waiting to be finished up and tearing up the streets.

We decided to go back to square one and replace the 355 and th400 that had unknown miles on them with a fresh 383 sbc and 700r4 built to handle the horsepower.

90% of the frame work has been completed other than running brake lines and fuel lines, finishing the exhaust, sandblasting the frame and then painting it.

Next to be done is any metal work needed, fit all the panels, sand them down to metal to start with fresh finishing products that we know and work with every week. And get working towards a painted product.

Keep an eye out for more updates.

Part one of this 1949 3100 Hot Rod project is complete.

This was one of our many winter projects we had going. It came in very rough, every corner was rusted through. It was hit in the driver side front corner in one of its stages of life before making its way to us. It was repaired, just not correctly. The customer requested all the holes in the firewall are filled, one of his favorite parts of all the work performed.

Part two consist of finishing up the body work the front clip and box components to then ship out to the customer for him to do final assembly on.

Scroll on through the photos to see the complete process start to finish of the work performed on the cab.

Got the pleasure of working on “Red” a little over a month ago.

Originally Red came in for a leaking rear main seal, the rope seal was still in place on the original 293 Y block. It was attempted before to be sealed by another party with part of the updated silicone seal kit. They used the silicone seals for the side of the rear main cap and tried repositioning the rope seal. When they installed the side seals, the pin that gets driven next to the seal got put on the wrong side of the seal causing oil to slip past. Got everything cleaned up and sealed and properly repaired.

While red was in the shop we also diagnosed and fixed the following;
- Master cylinder (Only had about 1/2” of travel on the piston due to rust slowly building).
- Brake light sensor on the master cylinder was making zero contact internally.
- Turn signal switch (We had zero flow going through the turn signal circuits for the brake lights).
- 12V generator (The field windings were flowing 1/3” of the amps they should’ve been).

Just finished up this 1934 ford that came in for a number of repairs.

Needed fiberglass repair on the left front fender, new headlights installed, and diagnosing on a no start condition.

The broken part of the fender was ground out and filled back in with new matting and resin. Sanded down to its finishing state before paint and then paint was blended throughout the left fender, engine bay side panel and the grill shell.

The no start condition was due to no crank trigger on the engine for the Holley sniper kit that was installed on the engine prior to us. With multiple routes to take, the customer decided to go with putting a carburetor back on the engine. We put a 600cfm edelbrock on the engine and dialed it in.
