Found used parts for two clients today!
Sometimes, parts aren’t available aftermarket, and they need to be salvaged off of other vehicles. I am incredibly grateful for the team at B&R Auto Wrecking. The car I needed to pull a part from had just been moved to the Crush Pile 45 minutes before I arrived. They were amazing enough to pull the car down so that I could get the rod attached to the door handle in my hand.
Thanks to them, my client will be able to open their passenger door from the outside for the first time in a couple of years!
If you ever find yourself needing to get rid of a vehicle that no longer works, please consider salvage yards before scrap metal recyclers (if they don’t offer salvage as well). If a car is recycled, it’s simply crushed and sent to be recycled…the end. However, if it goes to the salvage yard, this gives others a chance to salvage good parts that aren’t able to be found elsewhere before being recycled.
In the past, I’ve had salvage yards be the only reason I’m able to get people’s vehicles back on the road. Selling wrecked or non-running vehicles to the salvage yards gives as much life to car’s parts as possible 🚙🔧❤️
