Wanted to post a few thoughts about the National open from this weekend at Bremerton Raceway. Friday started off the weekend with testing and a gambler race that was fun and had some great racing and 9 perfect reaction time for the day. Saturday didn’t start very week with some rain first thing in the morning and racing didn’t start until about 1215. Late start with 300 entries heading into time trials we knew we wouldn’t have the time to get the race done. A call to the division director about how to handle this went out and as always, Dennis worked late to plan the solution that was discussed. These are always tough call to make but it was dial and go for Sunday morning so we could finish Saturdays race and hopefully with you, the racers, help we could get Sundays race done also. HUGE , HUGE shoutout to all of you for helping us make that happen. I can’t thank you enough. Last of the race info. We finished the weekend with 22 perfect lights over the 3 days
22!!!! And I don’t get to race anymore but I do get to “test” the clocks before we start and had a .007 and a .008. I conveniently don’t remember the other 2. I’ll blame that on selective memory loss because I’m getting older.

Now for the side of my job nobody sees. I get to witness the highest of the highs and the lowest of lows of this sport that I love and this weekend had it all. I will never go into the details
But this weekend had it all. From loses both huge and small to some amazing reactions to wins, whether it was a first one or the 20th. Emotions are still there as I type this. For those that don’t understand why we all do this, it’s the people and these moments. I’ve met some great people and hope to do this for a long time. Last thing and he will probably hate that I mention him but thank you Dennis for handing me that mic

Wednesday September 2 Parking Begins: 9:00 am

Thursday, September 3, Gates Open and Parking: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Test and Tune: 10 am; Two rotations. Best on Best E1 6 pm
Poker Tournament – 7:00 pm

Friday, September 4, Gates Open: 7:30 am

Gambler Race and Time Trials: 9:00 am

Saturday, September 5, Gates Open: 7:30 am

Team Race Eliminations: 9:00 am

Sunday, September 6, Gates Open: 7:30 am

Race of Champions Time Trial/Eliminations: 9:00 am
