You know... I am sitting here winding down for the night. I just got to thinking 🤔 that I have the best customers anyone could hope for. It’s the reason I want to keep improving. I can never stop wanting to “do it better” every time.

I am a truly lucky girl. And speaking of that, all of you have stuck with me through some really big changes. I always tell folks that I am grateful for the work I have, and I am sure to let everyone know I never take it for granted. All that I am colors how I do my work, but without the kind of people I work for, I could not sustain the drive.

Birds of a feather flock together. Nowhere in the world is this more literally true. And my, my! What birds we have!!! Spruce Creek is a truly magical place that only a small part of the world can understand. But you could drop all of these people in any location on the planet... in the universe, and THAT place would become magical. Because without all of you... it’s just a runway and a gate.

Without you, I have no opportunity to excel. Without you, there is no Corsair for me in South Carolina. Without you, there is no Canopy from Rob Holland or Matt Chapman. No Honda, Lancair, MT Props, or Boeing, and so many more.

I start off everyday just hoping I can pull it off one more time. Hoping I can make you glad you called me.

I don’t need a special holiday to say it. It’s just April. So any day in April, or June, or November, or the rest that ends in the letter y will do to say...

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!

💖💝💗💞💕❤️

Been having a very productive experience at Sun ‘n Fun this year. I reconnected with customers I haven’t seen in a long time, and I met a lot of new people. It seems I am suddenly beginning to see more demand for service outside of Spruce Creek. I’ll try to turn all of it into good work experiences. I am already slated to visit new customers here in parts of Florida. I will be heading to South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, and Michigan as well. All but MI will happen in the next two months! Some other possibilities that may be added are North Carolina, Chicago, NY, and Mass. Those are not confirmed, but I am eternally optimistic. I am thrilled that people are willing to have me come there way to do what I do best.🙂

I would like to take a moment on this Memorial Day to acknowledge and thank the veterans who have worked and sacrificed to make this country possible.

The "snowbirds" are almost all gone for the season. My schedule should return to normal and I will be posting some of the great work I have been fortunate to do lately.

03/31/2017

Yep... I'm totally still alive..lol Yep... AeroDyne Detail is still banging out projects like always. Every time I think I could not possibly get anymore work in a day, I somehow do! I have been working on really great and interesting stuff, but I have been severely neglecting posting about it. My apologies. I have had a lot going on in my personal life, so I just haven't had the energy to keep up here. I will try to do better going forward.

Wow! What a week. I am happy to report that our area and the properties of everyone I know, or I am responsible for, had minimal damages from the hurricane. I was back to work two hours after the hurricane passed, doing a couple of home inspections. My crew scattered as far as New Orleans, so we did not work Saturday. However, my guy Dinu Abeyawardena got back Saturday night from Central Florida. I can't thank him enough for his willingness to get right back at it Sunday morning. He's becoming a machine like me! Today is my normal admin and maintenance day, so I thought I would get this up for those who want to know how we did.

Hoping to post some new stuff soon. I have a lot going on. The new cover is of "Race 90" with me on the wing. This is Gene McNeely's plane. His son Greg won Silver in the T-6 category in Reno last time out.

Amazed once again to find several international birthday wishes this evening. I have never had that happen before. I love my community and my newer friends in Italy, Australia, Germany, Nepal, New Zealand, England, Russia, and Canada. A lot of these folks I have met in my travels to AirVenture and Reno, while in support of my customers performing for air shows. I hope to grow all of these relationships and build even more. You can never have too many friends in life!

03/27/2016

Thank you, thank you! I just jumped on here for a minute today and was pleasantly blown away by the numerous birthday wishes and responses to "the band fiasco." Some people just don't understand the loyalty that exists in MY circle and I am truly moved by the kind of people I have around me. Because of that, I'm totally gonna Obi-Wan Kenobi this thing. "Strike me down and I shall become more powerful that you can possibly imagine."

Corsair Catapult Launches And Strafing Runs During Korean War (WATCH)

I am sharing this over from the Corsair group I belong to. I just don't get enough of these planes! If you're like me... maybe this video will help a bit.

These Warbirds Didn't Stop At The End Of World War II. Vought's Corsairs are one of the most identifiable aircraft of World War II and one of the best fighters as well. Serving well throughout the war, their effectiveness was also tested about five years later during the Korean War. Wi

Flying high at 91

BTW, Our new bass player/crewman, Jonas Creason comes from a long lineage of aviation. Meet his extraordinary 91 year old grandmother who is still flying regularly.

Pilot Mary Creason didn't let a heart condition stop her 70-year flying career. She's back in the air, with a goal of landing in all 48 states in the continental U.S.

It's no secret that I love music. I was so sad this morning to hear the news, put on your red shoes and dance the blues. Goodbye David Bowie...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from AeroDyne Detail!

12/12/2015

TALON HAS A NEW BAND! I am happy to announce that after a quite lengthy and unacceptable absence from performing, I have joined a new band. We will debut TODAY at the Spruce Creek Christmas Toy Parade. We go on immediately following the parade near "The Tree". My apologies for not having a picture. I got so wrapped up with prep at rehearsal, I forgot to get a still shot. There was video, but no time to upload this morning. I will post it soon.

11/25/2015

Just a quick note since I have not posted in a while. I am still pretty busy. I will post some pictures soon. I am sad that Korean War Hero was unable to return to "The Creek" this season as originally planned. I am sure I will see Jim Tobul soon, though. I hope everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving Holiday!

So thrilled today! Got Race 90 ready to go with the final coatings of wax two days ago. The weather was colder, so I was not sure if our speed gains were attributable to my work. Today the weather was warmer and we laid on another layer. NO MECHANICAL WORK WAS PERFORMED. Greg picked up two full seconds which the crew chief has attributed to some of my work. This may be one of the best days for AeroDyne Detail to date.

CIRRUS SR-22 Chute Deployment

This is a rare opportunity to see an aircraft recovery chute deployed and the subsequent impact of the plane. The whole thing was video recorded by the Coast Guard Air Station (Barbers Point) who were informed that the aircraft was in trouble.

The U.S. Coast Guard captured this footage of a Cirrus SR22 pulling its chute 253 miles northeast of Maui, Hawaii.

I have an excellent read for this Saturday morning. This is the final installment of the around-the-world journey of the TBM 850. I will post information about the AeroDyne Crew restoring this plane to its pre-trip condition later this weekend. Now that the couple is home, I can share the link to Diann's and Tom's blog, so that you can enjoy it in its entirety. I kept the information private until they made it all public upon their return.

http://tomanddiannaroundtheworld2015.com

The blog is also mentioned on the TBM Daher website here: http://www.tbm.aero

I have included some quick stats here from the blog in case you don't want to read it all.

I posted a Trans-TBM Part Two, but for some reason, it showed up ahead of Part One when I posted it just now. Strange, but just scroll down a bit for the next piece. I will try to get this all wrapped up in the next few days. I will also add photos to some of the previous posts. Diann shared more after I made the initial posts.
