STORM RECOVERY UPDATE - MAY 1, 2026 (PLEASE SHARE THIS POST)
Debris Removal
Residents may continue to drop off storm debris at City Hall (dumpsters are located behind the Annex building). Additionally, Frontier will deploy four extra trucks tomorrow for our regularly scheduled brush and bulk pickup. Crews will drive every street in the city—no sign-up is required. Simply place debris at the curb for collection.
We understand concerns regarding Parker County’s debris drop-off fees. The County has clarified that charges apply only to construction materials, not vegetative debris. For further clarification, please contact the County directly.
Free Meals
Tomorrow, May 2, starting at 8:00 a.m., multiple food trucks will be set up around the Square providing free meals to anyone impacted by the storm. There will be trucks set up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No identification or proof of residency is required.
Damage Reporting (iStat)
Residents are encouraged to report storm-related property damage through the iStat reporting system. We have meal kits, hygiene kits, clean up supplies, cases of bottled water, and more. Residents can pick up these resources at their convenience between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.
Picking up supplies-- Pull up to the bay door off of Martin Avenue.
Dropping off supplies-- Enter the driveway west of the building through the gate pull to the back of the building.
Shelter
The American Red Cross shelter at the United Methodist Church remains open and, per Parker County OES, is expected to operate through tomorrow at 11 a.m. We will provide updates if there are any changes.
Additional Resources
City staff are actively coordinating with Parker County, Parker County OES, and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to support recovery efforts. City staff met with Small Business Administration (SBA) representatives today; they are currently conducting damage assessments. If thresholds are met, funding assistance for small businesses may become available. We will share more information as it develops.
