The team here at Jo's Garage installed a 5.0L Dark Horse Coyote V8 engine into the MKIII chassis with a 5 speed manual transmission. To create one of the most unique driving experiences available, we designed equal length exhaust headers and used GT40 style 180* collectors to create a soundtrack you've never heard from a Cobra before. A NASCAR style boom tube exhaust exit further adds to the high RPM symphony sung by this animal.
The modern Mustang engine is untouched other than the 8 stack (ITB) intake on top; resulting output peaks at 550 crank horsepower. A MoTeC ECU controls all of those ponies and is calibrated with the ex-Formula 1 experience of .race.engines. That means this Cobra has plenty of power with factory Coyote reliability to boot, without the headaches of maintenance you would expect from other cars with this soundtrack such as a 355.
