That’s not a good sign, I knew the 4runner had a coolant leak in cylinder 3 but i assumed it was from the head gasket. This is looking more like a cracked head. Oh boy! Guess we’ll see when I dig in more. I don’t know how else I’d get coolant on top of one single cylinder. Bummed 🫤

SF FORESTERS ARE THE BEST!
It’s a truck/car/van/camper! It really is the best thing on the planet! Why would anyone want anything else? I moved couches to my house with my “little” l***o car. Gary (my boyfriend) has a new outback (onyx edition if anyone cares) and I had a half foot of clearance in every direction. The outside of his car is MASSIVE compared to mine. Probably more safe. But whatever haha.

Ball joint replacement the old fashioned way. Honda Accord. Socket and hammer. Used the ball joint press to install the new ones. Was unable to use the press to get the old ones out. Sometimes we just gotta adapt, improvise and overcome. Work until the job is done!

Bumper removal to replace a leaking ac line. I thought it was the condenser at first but once the bumper was off, I noticed the excessive build up on the hose and checked it with my freon sniffer and sure enough, just the line. Lucky for the customer because it was about $100 less than the condenser.

FAQ: What got you into cars?

Ever since I was a tiny little human, I was fascinated with taking things apart. The challenge was to try to put it back together. When McDonald’s toys were actually cool, I used to take them apart and figure out how the little electrical circuits made the toy light up and make noise.

On my 8th birthday, my mom bought me a brand new bike. First thing I did was try to take it apart. Pulled the brakes apart, took the chain off and removed the wheels. I, of course, being 8 years old, didn’t have the correct tools to disassemble the bike. It ended up with a lot of messed up pieces because I used pliers on most of it. Luckily, I had a very understanding mom. She was upset but laughed it off. I did end up “fixing” the bike after my experimenting.

As I grew up, so did my toys. So here I am taking things apart (with knowledge now) and still loving every minute of it!
