As temperatures start heating up, your vehicle works harder than usual and that can lead to overheating or weak A/C if you’re not prepared. Here are some simple tips to keep your ride running cool all season:

1. Check Your Coolant
Make sure your coolant level is full and in good condition. Old or low coolant is one of the main causes of overheating. Low coolant also can cause AC issues!

2. Inspect Hoses & Radiator
Look for cracks, leaks, or worn-out hoses. A small leak now can turn into a big problem later.

3. Test Your A/C Early
Don’t wait until it’s 90° outside. If your A/C isn’t blowing cold, it may need a recharge or repair.

4. Stay on Top of Oil Changes
While oil’s main job is to reduce friction, it also cools the internal parts of your engine! Fresh oil helps your engine run cooler and smoother, especially in hot weather.

5. Check Your Fans
Your cooling fans should kick on when needed. If they don’t, your engine can overheat fast. Any wear on fans is a sign it’s time for a new fan!

6. Watch Your Temperature Gauge
If you notice your temp creeping up, don’t ignore it. catching issues early can save your engine, save you time and money 💸!

We have officially reached the middle of September. Time flies by fast when you’re having fun 🕰️
We only have 19 more days until our move in at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
