Noble Forest RV Village Breaks Ground on USDA-Funded Solar Farm to Provide Free Power for Guests
Noble Forest RV Village, located on FM 1774 near Magnolia, TX, officially broke ground on a new 192kWh solar farm. This major green initiative, made possible by a grant administered by the USDA, is designed to generate 50% of the park's total power directly from the sun.
The project features 11 “carports” constructed with American-made steel, designed to fit large RVs to park underneath. These structures are engineered for maximum longevity and are hurricane-rated to withstand winds up to 130 mph.
Electrical usage represents one of the largest expenses for RV travelers. While many campgrounds charge for electric, Noble Forest is leveraging this technology to change the guest experience.
"Our goal is to help out the guests who stay here by offering free electrical service," said General Manager Kyle Closner. "If we can reduce their costs, we can provide a better experience for our guests, and everyone benefits."
Solar farms involve significant design and installation costs that can be prohibitive for small businesses. The Clean Energy Act helps rural communities install green energy projects, and for Noble Forest, the grant will offset 50% of the total installation costs.
"We've been excited about this for a long time," Closner added. "Without the grant, we never could have afforded an improvement like this. It’s a major green initiative for our community."

About Noble Forest RV Village
Noble Forest RV Village (www.nobleforest.com) is a family friendly RV park in Grimes county, Texas. The park is open to overnight camping and monthly stays. Kyle Closner took over operations at this location in 2023.
