I’ve never seen this add. Thanks for sharing! I do Remember my dad always saying Friday the 13th was lucky for them!

We hope today's Friday the 13th became as lucky a day for you as the Herbst Esso Servicecenter hoped their Friday, September 13, 1940 would be when they placed this ad in the August 22, 1940 Sewickley Herald announcing their coming grand opening. Complete with a black cat illustration to really bring all the luck their way, considering there is still a John M. Herbst service center at that same location, we think their lucky charms paid off!
