Tonight was Frankie’s first race back after being off for 3 weeks. It was Keystones Christmasin in July Race, a feature only evening with special guest Santa to visit the kiddos and hand out a candy cane and free ice cream. Frankie started his feature in 4th and did an awesome job working his way up, making good passes and won his first feature since moving up to Junior Honda. We are so proud of this little man! Thank you to all his sponsors and our family and friends for supporting him. It means so much to us all!

Frankie won his heat race! Now we wait until potentially Sunday for the feature. We are so proud of this little man. The track was as best as it could be for the past few days of weather and he handled it well.
Frankie also got to see his name for the first time on the track record board. Last year he set the track record for Blue rookie!

This was our first weekend back racing at Keystone for the season. Yesterday Frankie won his heat race but the feature got cancelled out due to rain.
Today Frankie won his heat race again. During the feature he changed his line a few too many times and was very loose, finishing 3rd. Every time he’s on the track is a learning opportunity. He did a good job and was so happy to be back at the track with all his friends! We are very thankful to everyone who came to help and support him and his sponsors C.T Electric and Pioneer Pole Buildings.

Today, frankie was lucky enough to be invited to the checkered flag fan club racing banquet. Frankie is the Red Rookie Champion for Keystone State Quarter Midget Race Club. We are so proud of all of his racing accomplishments! He is beyond excited to get back to racing in April. Thank you to everyone who supported him through the season, and the checkered flag club for a great celebration of all the kiddos.

Tonight was a Wednesday make up race at Keystone. Frankie started the heat in 5th and finished it in 6th. After some “daddy, Frankie talk time ”, It was feature time. Frankie started his feature in 6th and was able to pull off a 2nd place finish! We are so proud of him and all the kiddos on the track! Thank you to our friends and family for the support!

Sunday fun at Keystone. Frankie had his second race in blue rookie. He started in second for the heat and finished second. For his feature he started 2nd and made a last lap pass and won the race! We are proud of this little guy! He is learning so much and loves to play with his friends at the track! Thank you so much Aunt Abbey and Uncle Cory for being there every week to support him, and all our family and friends for their support!!

Today was the Larry Grim memorial race at Keystone. This was also Frankie’s first race after moving up to blue rookie. It was time trials and A mains. Frankie went out for his time trial and not only had the fastest time for his class but, also broke the track record for blue rookie by over one hundredth of a second faster. He started 1st in the A main. He stayed in first for 14 laps until there was a caution. On the restart Frankie touched the box and was sent back 2 spots to 3rd. He stayed there until he got loose and spun. One of the other kiddos didn’t see him and hit him head on, full throttle. Pushing him 1/3 of the way around the track. Frankie is fine, a few bruises and sore. So is the other kiddo. He came back after the wreck in 8th to finish 4th! We are so proud of him! This was a big step to move up and he did great! Thank you to all our family and friends for being there to support him and the Grim family for this event!

As the 2023 racing season comes to an end for Donati Motorsports, we’d like to do a recap on the Green Machine. Lots of rained out Friday nights, this year was full of ups and downs and a year of learning and pushing limits.

We would like to especially thank our family, friends & sponsors for supporting us every Friday night. Thank you to Skin Art Studio, The Justin Watson Team, NORTHEAST Pennsylvania settlement group, EXP Realty & Albert Evans Attorney at Law for sponsoring the 61s car this season.

We are thankful for every race we’ve took the green on this year. Time for a deep clean and prepping for next season!
