Spent yesterday working on this beautiful 1966 Ford Fairlane 🔧🇺🇸

I replaced all 4 shocks and completed a rear air shock delete to give the car a cleaner, more reliable setup and improved ride quality.

This customer originally came in needing front wheel bearings. After tearing it down, we found the lower ball joints were worn and the backing plates were extremely rusty and falling apart.

Instead of stacking labor costs by replacing everything separately, I recommended and installed a complete steering knuckle assembly. This saved the customer time, labor, and money while fixing multiple issues at once.

Now the vehicle is back on the road safe and solid, the way it should be.

❄️ Yesterday’s Snow Storm Adventures with Matt’s Auto Service ❄️
Snowy roads didn’t slow things down yesterday!

A customer reached out about:
-A loud exhaust leak
-Strong gas fumes entering the cabin

After inspecting the vehicle, I found the real culprit — a cracked exhaust manifold. This isn’t something to ignore. A damaged manifold can lead to:

⚠️ Misfires
⚠️ Lean running conditions
⚠️ Loss of power
⚠️ Dangerous gas fumes entering the cabin
⚠️ Even catastrophic engine failure if left unchecked

Got everything repaired and the customer safely back on the road despite the storm. 🚗💨

Emergency Call Completed by Matt’s Auto Service

I received an urgent call from a customer whose vehicle had a flashing check engine light, was shaking, and had very little power. After running a full diagnostic scan, I found a random misfire code along with a cylinder 6 misfire.

Further testing confirmed a faulty fuel injector on cylinder 6. I replaced the injector and installed new intake gaskets to ensure everything was sealed properly.

The vehicle is now running smoothly, and the customer was back on the road the same day.

Had a customer reach out about a Chevy Impala that would crank but wouldn’t start. After running a full diagnostic, I traced the issue to a failed fuel pump and got it replaced.

Once the car was running again, I found a rough idle and a misfire, so the job turned into a complete tune-up to make sure everything was running smooth and reliable.

Just finished replacing a faulty water pump and a leaking power-steering line on a Chevy Express van. A failing water pump can cause overheating and serious engine damage if left unchecked — so it’s always smart to get it looked at early.
