As some of you may know, coffee beans are ground to allow hot water to more easily extract flavors from them.
The smaller the coffee ground, the less time it takes for water to penetrate all the way to the center. The larger the ground, the more time it takes to extract all flavors from the beans.
French press brewing typically uses coarse (big) grounds and takes about four minutes. Pour over brewing only take a little over two minutes to brew using medium-fine grounds. Since the grounds are smaller, it doesn’t take as long to produce a balanced flavor. Finally, espresso brewing using super-fine grounds and only needs 25-35 seconds.
What is you preferred coarseness and brewing method? ☕️❤️

“Our passion is quality beans and quality coffee. We primarily roast single-origin coffee beans from small estate, fair trade and/or organic farms. Once a good bean is in our hands, it’s our job to bring out the best of the bean in the roasting process. As a localized micro-roastery, you can enjoy a truly fresh cup of coffee today from a batch roasted yesterday.”

Texas Coffee Club tip of the day ☕️
Coffee beans come in countless varieties from origins across the globe. Each variety of coffee bean has its own set of unique characteristics, including a different density. This means that measuring by volume can be difficult and won't get you the best results. However, the most accurate measure of coffee is to weigh the beans before they are ground and brewed. 🙏🏻
Freshly roasted & delivered straight to your door 📦☕️❤️
Another brewitful day at the Texas Coffee Club HeadQuarters! ❤️☕️
Coffee | noun.
1. liquid that smells like fresh ground heaven.
Today’s featured coffee blend comes from @austinroco
“ Bedhatu Jebicho was born and raised in Worka where her farm is also located. She started working in coffee in the 1960s when the government gave land to her husband. Bedhatu’s takes great pride in the fact that she has managed the farm operations for over 50 years, even before her husband passed away in 1991. As Bedhatu is now over 80 years old, her adult children have started to become more involved in continuing her rich tradition of coffee production. The family plans to use the premiums from coffee sales to expand production and start an export company.
Full natural process of indigenous heirloom cultivars, dried on raised beds from the Gedeb zone.
Tasting Notes: Berry, Lemon Verbena, and Cocoa.
Recommended for pourover or single origin espresso.
One day this will be over, and we will be grateful for life in ways we never felt possible before. 🙏🏻
Till then, stay home, stay safe and drink lots of fresh roasted Texas coffee. ❤️☕️
Adjusting to work at home? We are here to help! The entire Texas Coffee Club team has been working remotely since our launch last year. We want to share 3 of our tips and tricks to stay on task while working at home.
1.) Start your day with a easy morning routine... Its probably not shocking we start with making a cup of coffee, but it could be anything. You could make breakfast, do yoga, morning run, prayer, whatever works best for you.
2.) Write down 3 things you want to accomplish that day and keep it by your side while working... For us these are usually work related. However, It could be anything to help you feel accomplished, like doing laundry or preparing dinner.
3.) Get dressed. Our team isn’t a huge fan of wearing pajamas while trying to work (no judgement if you do). But we’ve realized that if we are trying to get work done, being properly dressed puts us in the right headspace to get work done efficiently.
None of this is ground-breaking or unheard of, but it works for our team and helps us stay on task and remain productive while working from home!

Happy Friday y’all! We are extremely happy to announce that @malonecoffee is live on our website!
@malonecoffee is a Micro-roaster in Austin, Texas. They operate three coffee trailers and a brick-and-mortar roastery in beautiful Austin, Texas. All the coffee is roasted by Paul Malone in micro (5lb) batches so that quality can be precisely controlled.”
“We roast in micro-batches in order to have ultimate control over the quality of the beans and make fine adjustments on the heat, the time, and the airflow during the roasting process. By adjusting these variables at different times during the roasting process, we unlock natural flavors that are hidden within each coffee.
