It's been really difficult to get out | Paradise Performance

Unfortunately, like the clients, we don't have the ability to remove the head, but we've had some injectors that have just been really troublesome on five and six because of the lack of the cowl.
We've had a lot of rainwater and leaves and other grime get down in there, and these.

It's been really difficult to get out, even with the tool that actually threads onto the injectors, the OEM tool.
It got brought to us because they didn't have the proper tool and they already knocked some of these; they already destroyed some of the.

So we'll get the couplers out of the board, and then we'll get new injectors, new couplers, get it programmed, and get it back on the road.

Dropping in the ZL1 fuel pump to accommodate | Part 2

Okay, we're in the back of this six gen is a 2011 Camaro SS and we're going to be dropping in the ZL1 fuel pump to accommodate the higher flow of fuel for the 85 conversion. So I've got a template here. You can see I've got this marked out here underneath this section right here is going to be the actual fuel pump. So we're trying to make this to where we can have easy access to it. And I've got an outline here. We're going to go ahead and try the base cuts and we're going to use that with a 3-inch saw here. We're going to take our time, really take our time and be careful. We'll see how this all evolves. But essentially, this is an 8x8 template. And uh we'll see how it works out.

So in the shop today, kind of a rare moment. It's kind of quiet. Not because we're not busy. Just the fact that Colin's got some other commitments and I'm in here. I'm going to work on this Camaro behind us. We've got a 6 gen Camaro. I believe with a 62 and then we have back here right behind me we got this 68 Mustang over there. We're going to be doing an engine swap. We pulled out the old 302.

We've got a blueprint that we're going to drop in it here this week as well. And then behind me, we've got this classic. It's a 92 BMW 325 uh platform here. So, you know, we'll come in car but kind of want to show you the things we do in the shop here. You know, we are known as a as a European specialist, which is great. And we do get the cars just like you see, I just showed you the BMW. But it's really kind of cool, right? We have customers that also know that we can work on on some of the other performance cars. is like the classic here and then the Camaro. So, uh the Camaro is kind of a cool story. This customer, I'm not doing a really good job of getting the video of it real quick. Just based on my camera angle here. But this Camaro came in because the transmission had gone out. So we contacted Sun Coast, dropped into stage one.

Let's talk about the top reasons why you're looking at purchasing to use a vehicle or why you should. First and foremost, new cars cost way too much money and I don't see that dropping anytime soon. Especially with tariffs in the state of the world economy, I just don't see that changing. I think used cars right now are the top value. Also keep in mind the depreciation. The minute you drive the car off a lot, we all know it takes a hit. Some cars take even greater hits, especially once you get beyond five years. Then get down to those special features and trim levels. You can get an amazing used car with all the advanced trim features, all the technology; it'll cost less than going with a base new car.

Plus, your payments if you did decide to finance a used will be lower. Um, let's talk about why it makes sense to look at the European car. Number one, European cars are built to a higher standard. There's no question about it. The engineering is different. It's more advanced. The driving experience is definitely better. The materials, the interior, it's more advanced. And here's the big win. The European cars take a great amount of depreciation around the 7-8 year mark. So you're looking at around a 40% drop off the retail price.

So the previous owners took a serious cost reduction on depreciation. This is to your advantage. Think about it. You get the car at a great price; you get the advanced features inside, all the technology, the better engineering, a better driving experience. Also, a vast majority of these European cars, even the four-door sedans, get over 30 miles per gallon. Great cars. Take a look. See what's out there. It's one of the big reasons why we specialize in European cars. Great values, great driving experience.

Today's topic is finding your local mechanic that you can trust. How do you do that? First, find shops that specialize in your vehicle. Look, go to Google, not their Facebook, not their social. Go to Google, look at their reviews.

What are they saying about them? Is there any real detail that they're sharing about their experience? Are there photos? Okay? Are there recent posts? If you do, go look at their website. The website talks about certifications or specialties. That really matters. Listen, today the mechanics out there, there are fewer and fewer of them. The skill sets are getting harder to find. It's really important that you build a relationship with the local shop; go meet them.

They can truly help you. Um, make sure that you know they can make sure your ownership experience will be great for many years to come. But those are the things that I would really recommend is besides meeting them, look at their background, uh, you know, what type of education have in certifications and what their customers are saying about them.

Let's talk about the ownership experience of a car today. Used car. So it's really key. After your car comes off warranty, if you decide you don't want to purchase an aftermarket warranty, what's really going to be crucial is that you build a relationship with a shop and not just any shop. You want to find a local shop that has a background and can prove the work they do.

Go to their Google profile. Don't just look at their Facebook or their Instagram. Go look at the reviews they're getting on Google. Do they have photos showing the work they're doing, the caliber of work they're doing on the reviews or people talking about their expertise? Go meet them. There's some great shops out there. They've invested their whole life, their career, so they can deliver a high quality of service. Look, let's face it. The mechanic shortage is real.

The skill sets out there, they're they're shrinking. You want to find a shop that is committed to excellence and who's always getting educated and they never stopped. Certifications matter, special test specialist matter in this industry. Cars are becoming more complex and far more expensive. So do your homework, build that go meet them, build that relationship, see what they've accomplished and uh go from there and that way, you know what, you'll be taking care of.
