With the craziness of moving our business to Main St, we have not had the time to introduce our selves. Our names are Jacob and Allison Bates. We were both born and raised in Osage IA and live here with our two kids. It had always been Jacob’s goal to own his own shop so in 2021 we opened up AJ’s Autobody. (We do get asked a lot about what AJ’s stand for and its our initials!!) In December 2024 we got the opportunity to purchase Tony’s Autobody Shop and moved our business to Main St. Jacob has been doing autobody for 15 years, since he first started autobody when he was 17 working for Tony. Responsibilities

Perform auto body repairs on damaged vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Utilize welding and soldering techniques for structural repairs and modifications.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
Execute sheet metal work, including cutting, shaping, and installing new panels as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as required, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
Experience

Proven experience in auto body repair or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.
Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and the physical demands of the job.
Previous experience in customer service is a plus, enhancing client interactions during the repair process.
Detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring precision in all repairs and modifications.
