Tonight, our Michaels Mercer Raceway Park family will be making the trip to Sharon Speedway to honor one of the greatest names in sprint car racing, Lou Blaney, at the prestigious Lou Blaney Memorial featuring the Sprint Cars and Big Block Modifieds.

Well, got the intake off had to use the hydraulic crimper to get the stuck bolt out, vise grips couldn't grip it enough. Got the intake back on, thermostat gutted, injectors and coils in. Alternator back on. Belt back on and ready to go. Going to add a temp sensor, oil pressure sensor, volt meter and possibly a tach. Should be ready to roll friday for raceway 7 and Sharon speedway on Saturday. Come out and support your local tracks.

Well what a week it has been. Broke the thermostat housing bolt off inside the intake trying to simply gut the thermostat. Ended up pulling off the intake to get the broken bolt out. Went to u-pull it last Friday to get a new intake as a spare. Found a couple other parts to keep as spares. Finally got the broken bolt out last night. Now to get it all put back together. Hopefully taking the kids to watch the WoO late models at Sharon speedway this weekend. We will have the car back up and ready for Raceway 7 Friday the 17th and Sharon the 18th as long as the baby co-operates and doesn't come before then.
