A few weeks ago, Christie faced a devastating personal loss with the passing of her beloved mother. Christie had been caring for her mother in Orlando while her husband and two sons stayed in Texas due to other obligations preventing the family from being together. Despite grappling with grief, Christie planned to return to work, embodying the resilience we all admire.
However, fate dealt another cruel blow. Just two nights before she was to rejoin us, Christy received a harrowing call: a tornado had struck her home in Texas. This catastrophic event claimed the life of her husband and left her two children severely injured. In an instant, Christy's world was irrevocably altered. She boarded a flight immediately and has been by her son's side ever since, focusing on their recovery and trying to piece together the fragments of their lives.
