This company is unethical that explains it all on ethical I called up because Iām sick of this freaking hell donāt know whether itās COVID-19 or food poisoning but they wonāt even give me a freaking credit for my next rental and Iāve rented with them for about a year now and they just lost a customer that wants to twice a monthļæ¼you guys itās someone you deliver scooters early early early and then you donāt give someone a chance to be able to cancel them and then when someone during a time like now a pandemic and all of this if they call up in there sick and you donāt even offer to give them a one or two day credit even if you did deliver it today thatās pathetic I get OK delivered it Youāre telling me I shouldāve called and canceled last night Iām like I didnāt know I was sick last night Falls and you donāt even wanna offer any sort of a freaking credit during a time like now that shows what type of a company you guys really are trying to time like weāre going through with the pandemic in crisis in this world Yeah that really shows what type of a company you truly are I wonder how sh*tty you treat your employees that get sick Iām just saying this is going to be all over social media by the end of today if you guys donāt contact me and you can pull up my reservation by using my name hear from Facebook but yeah itās going to be all over social media and Iāll just show people one more reason why number thereās dozens of companies to rent scooters From and Iām even going to write a letter to the CDC and the health department that way they can put on their website for people to know that you guys are not gonna work with them if they get sick to even offer some sort of a credit when they have to cancel due to a medical emergency like being sick during a time like now with this pandemic the really pathetic your company is just as bad as Uber when it comes to the way they treat their employees well thatās how you treat your customers

Beware of dealing with Scootaround. These people take advantage of seniors. The say they offer protection or insurance when booking but they do not so when you have to cancel because your husband is too sick to travel, they say 'too bad, you don't have insurance/protection to cover cancellation so you are just out of your $ Ha Ha'. When people are dying and trying to enjoy as much as they can and something goes wrong, that is NOT the time to gouge, it is the time to show compassion. They didn't even want to see the doctor's letter.
We had a very disappointing experience with Scootaround. Their publicity suggests that they can meet everyone's needs no matter where you live. Well not only is that untrue, when an inquiry is made and they can't, they also may not call you with the information. This is what happened to us. We inquired, they had to get back to us and they didn't. The truth is. if you need a powerchair for circumstances that fit a very limited parameter ie going on a cruise or to a theme park, they are your go to. But if you need one to improve the quality of life for a loved one, they are not your source.
booked a Scoot Around Power Wheel Chair and O2 Concentrator for my Uncle for a Cruise we were going on.
They Delivered the Power Chair on December 8th, we got to the hotel at 11:30 PM on the 8th- my uncle used it once to go to breakfast on the 9th, the controller was BROKE, the rubber tip came off and would not stay on... he used it ONCE for breakfast and I emailed them to pick it up because it was stabbing his arm and we were unable to use it IT SCRAPED HIS ARM AND LEFT AN INDENTION...He has ALS and only has the use of a few fingers on his right hand.
We left at front desk on MONDAY DEC 9th. Went to get on our cruise and used the small manual chair he brought with him, for us to get him to the hotel...THANK GOODNESS WE BROUGHT IT!
We asked for the a REFUND since it was DAMAGED and we were unable to use it...we did not have in our Possession for 24 hours (it was more like 12-14 hours).... and they refunded them $15- (IT COST $165- I FEEL THAT THIS A SLAP IN OUR FACE- WE PAID THE EXCTA $10 FOR THE CANCELATION PROTECTION COVERAGE-NOT WORTH PAPER IT WAS WRITTEN ON.
I have asked for supervisor after supervisor and keep getting put on hold.... they are not able to take my call....
I WANT SOMEONE TO CALL ME WHO CAN HELP ME WITH THIS.
MY UNCLE IS A 100% DISABLED VET AND THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HOW THEY ARE TREATING THOSE WHO NEED THEIR SERVICES/
They Delivered the Power Chair on December 8th, we got to the hotel at 11:30 PM on the 8th- my uncle used it once to go to breakfast on the 9th, the controller was BROKE, the rubber tip came off and would not stay on... he used it ONCE for breakfast and I emailed them to pick it up because it was stabbing his arm and we were unable to use it IT SCRAPED HIS ARM AND LEFT AN INDENTION...He has ALS and only has the use of a few fingers on his right hand.
We left at front desk on MONDAY DEC 9th. Went to get on our cruise and used the small manual chair he brought with him, for us to get him to the hotel...THANK GOODNESS WE BROUGHT IT!
We asked for the a REFUND since it was DAMAGED and we were unable to use it...we did not have in our Possession for 24 hours (it was more like 12-14 hours).... and they refunded them $15- (IT COST $165- I FEEL THAT THIS A SLAP IN OUR FACE- WE PAID THE EXCTA $10 FOR THE CANCELATION PROTECTION COVERAGE-NOT WORTH PAPER IT WAS WRITTEN ON.

I would like to thank Scootaround for refunding the charges for my I unfortunate experience the the mobility scooter I rented on a recent trip. We were forced to buy a wheel trip as the mobility scooter broke down 5 minutes into using it. Scootaround first denied a refund and then took another look at the facts. They extended me an apology and refunded my rental fee.
