AATR Orlando has provided full-service roadside assistance and off-road recoveries in the Central Florida area. We are a leader in the towing and recovery industry and recipient of numerous awards. We are hiring EXPERIENCED Tow Truck Operators who are committed to providing safety, security, and peace of mind to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to calls dispatched in a safe, timely, and professional manner: free of accidents, injuries, and damage.
Operate trucks in a secure manner consistent with company policies and procedures and in adherence with applicable local, state and US Department of Transportation rules and regulations
Review assignments for location of service regardless of type and obtain vehicle information including make, model, color, & VIN
Load and unload vehicles from transport truck by use of winch, chains, blocks, & hydraulic/ electric controls
Secure vehicles and vehicle parts with chains, straps or other safe means
Complete and submit all required documentation associated with transport
Maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain appearance and functionality of assigned service vehicle.
Operate service vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
Effectively communicate using digital devices and dedicated GPS/Dispatch applications in a manner compliant with FCC rules and company guidelines.
Adhere to all departmental safety guidelines and all local/state/federal driving laws.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successfully pass drug tests in compliance with Company Policy, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Company's contractual requirements
Must submit to and pass complete background check as per Company policy and Company's contractual requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record (a CDL is preferred, but not required)
Proficiency in both Roll Back and Wheel Lift type trucks preferred
Ability to interact with courtesy, sympathy, understanding, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Possess strong ethics - treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust in others, works with integrity and upholds organizational values
Team work - Exhibits objectivity and openness to other's views, give and welcomes feedback, contributes to building positive morale
Must be able to work weekends, and any other shift as needed
Education & Specialized Knowledge
Valid applicable driver's license
Appropriate Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Must be 23 years old or older due to meet insurance requirements
Knowledge of basic vehicle safety practices, inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil, fluid levels, and exterior vehicle lights
Attention to detail
Able to meet daily deadlines efficiently, work well under stress, and in inclement weather conditions
Knowledge of geographic areas of operation by the type of transport driven
Basic computer and data entry skills required
Effective time management skills required
