☀️ The days are longer and sunnier and this feels like a great time to remind you that Dean's Beans is a solar-powered roasting facility.

We installed our solar panels 20 years ago, back in 2006! We've since doubled the size of our original array and the panels on our Beanery produce more electricity than we use each month.
Heck, yeah! ☀️

This year on the Dean's Beans stage you'll find larger-than-life ambassador of New Orleans Bounce music, Big Freedia; Jamaican-born Lila Iké, who's emerged as one of the most captivating voices in modern reggae; Peruvian cumbia pioneers Los Mirlos; Mexico City psychedelic tropical-influenced band Sonido Gallo Negro; Anatolian folk melded with psychedelia, pop, and soul from Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek; Tunisian desert blues musician/singer-songwriter Nour Harkati; and much more!

With record attendance and powerful student voices at the center of the evening, Giving Voice 2026 reminded us what community truly looks like.

Together, we raised over $30,000 to support ILI’s Free English Program for immigrants and refugees.
