Job Description:
SSR is looking for their newest addition to the team. We need an extremely detail oriented and self-starter individual that can help the team achieve their goal to satisfy all customer expectations and needs.
As a paint prep technician you will be responsible for completing all paint preparation processes for every vehicle prior to going into the paint booth.
Prepare vehicles/parts for paint (includes: taping, masking, etc.)
You will be using tools like air sanders, sanding blocks, spray guns, etc. to prepare spray out panels in order to be able to determine blending needs and to assist in sanding and buffing to properly ensure the finished product meets SSR standards.
Ability to mask and spray correct coats of primer all while ensuring vehicle and other panels are properly taped and secured to avoid overspray on car
Make sure to properly keep management updated on vehicle status to be able to ensure any and all problems that may arise are dealt with adequately to avoid any late customer deliveries.
Keep the workspace clean and organized including paint booths, tools and equipment.
Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
Verify all masking has been removed prior to transferring painted areas to body technician
Salary:
Pay: $22.00 an hour
