Finding a Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 (930) in original, unrestored condition is like striking gold. With just 2,850 units produced between 1975 and 1977, the selection is extremely limited—and early production models are even more desirable.

What Makes the Early 911 Turbo 3.0 Special?

✅ First Five Months of Production (1975) – These rare examples still featured the chrome-plated exterior mirrors, a carryover from older 911 models, making them the most sought-after among collectors.

✅ Wheel Evolution –
• 1975-76 models came with 15-inch forged Fuchs wheels, maintaining the pure Turbo 3.0 aesthetic.
• 1977 models were updated with 16-inch Fuchs wheels and black stone guard film on the rear fenders—but these can be converted back to the earlier spec for authenticity.

✅ No Intercooler –
• The 911 Turbo 3.0 (930) models from 1975-1977 were built without an intercooler.
• Porsche added an intercooler in 1978 with the introduction of the 3.3L Turbo, increasing power and making the rear spoiler even taller to accommodate it.

✅ Power Differences –
• European models: 260 hp
• US models: Restricted to 245 hp due to emissions regulations—but a simple conversion can restore the full Euro-spec power.

Louise Piëch, Ferry Porsche’s sister, was gifted the very first 911 Turbo prototype for her 70th birthday in 1974, featuring the soon-to-be iconic whale tail spoiler. This car marked the beginning of an era—one that collectors and enthusiasts still chase today.

Would you hunt down an early 911 Turbo 3.0, or would you go for a later 930 with the intercooler? Drop your thoughts below.

2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 sells for $749,000

**Sold**

RECORD SALE ALERT

2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 sells for $749,000!

Sold on: Bring a Trailer
Final Price: $749,000
Mileage: 4,000 miles
Spec: White with Red Accents

Why is this car so special?
The GT3 RS 4.0 was the final evolution of the 997 GT3 RS, featuring a 4.0L flat-six from the RSR race car, a 8,250 RPM redline, and weighing just 2,998 lbs. With only 600 produced, it’s one of the most sought-after modern 911s.

Market Insight:
This sale shatters previous comps, proving that low-mile, collector-grade RS 4.0s are in ultra-high demand. Just a few years ago, these traded for around $500K-$600K.

Would you pay nearly $750K for a GT3 RS 4.0?

🚀 Did you know? The Porsche 904 was officially named the Carrera GTS due to a naming dispute with Peugeot over numeric designations containing a “0.” Despite this, enthusiasts quickly embraced the “904” name.

As the last full-competition Porsche that could be easily driven on the street, the 1965 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS debuted in the U.S. with a list price of $7,245 (FOB Stuttgart). While Porsche met the 100-car homologation requirement, demand exceeded supply—but instead of producing more, Porsche was already working on its next evolution: the 906. 107 904 Carrera GTS were produced from September 1963 until April 1964. Shown here is chassis 56 finished in 6407 Signal Red!

One of only 29 Porsche 959 Sport models ever built is hitting the auction block at RM Sotheby’s Miami with only 3737 miles! This 1988 Porsche 959 S takes the already legendary 959 to another level—more power, less weight, and pure driving focus. With 508 hp, a lightweight interior, and no luxury frills, this is one of the rawest and rarest supercars of the ‘80s. Fun Fact: The Porsche 959 never came to the US originally due to Transportation laws!
