We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Independence Day! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

We spent the evening enjoying dinner at Pacific Yard House on the lake, followed by an incredible fireworks show put on by the restaurant. It was the perfect way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday! 🎆

We didn’t get a single photo of the fireworks because we were too busy enjoying the moment—and sometimes that’s the best kind of memory. ✨

Ever wonder how Onalaska got its name?

The name Onalaska comes from the poem The Pleasures of Hope by Scottish poet Thomas Campbell. When lumberman William Carlisle brought a sawmill to the area in 1904, he chose the name for the town—one of several Onalaskas he helped establish across the country.

Not exactly what you’d expect from a small East Texas town! 🌲😄
