This was a cool project I didn't share much about.

Chris brought in this Ford Shelby GT500 for a big brake upgrade and this car is absolutely wild.

If you took a Shelby GT500 and gave yourself an unlimited modification budget, this is pretty much what you’d end up with.

Custom widebody.
Custom paint that looks black until the sunlight reveals a deep purple.
Whipple supercharger.
Upgraded intake and exhaust.
Full custom leather interior.
Carbon fiber steering wheel with built-in LED display.
Upgraded sound system and gauges everywhere.

And now, a Wilwood big brake kit to finish it off.

The build was incredibly well thought out. Chris has some seriously good taste in vehicles.

Getting the brake kit installed was a project in itself. Since the new parking brake assembly required a retrofit, the rear axles had to come out. I installed the new assemblies, parking brake cables, and the correct shims to make sure the pad and caliper mating surfaces were properly aligned.

Then we bled the entire system and took it for a thorough test drive to make sure everything was working exactly as it should.

The result turned out great.

This is one seriously cool GT500.

The “Love Hotel on Wheels” - Honda SMX

This JDM classic is definitely one you don’t see every day.

The Honda SMX features front and rear bench seats that fold completely flat, transforming the interior into a surprisingly spacious bed.

Front wheel drive. 155 horsepower. Automatic transmission. Custom body kit.

And honestly, the styling is just right. A perfect blend of OEM+ with just enough modification to give it some personality.

Dom stopped by for a quick oil change and vehicle inspection, and this SMX is one exceptionally clean JDM import.

No rust. No leaks. Everything works exactly as it should.

For a vehicle that has been around this long, this Honda has held up incredibly well.

Another cool piece of JDM automotive history through the doors of Garage 531.

Sometimes the “easy” repair turns into a torch job. 🔥

This broken dipstick tube decided it wasn’t coming out quietly… so we brought out the heat.

A little persuasion, a lot of patience, and a torch later. Problem solved.

This workhorse is in for a new mirror assembly.

With these big diesel trucks, everything is scaled up. And the mirror assembly is no exception. This thing is HUGE.

The driver’s side mirror had developed a rattle. Anytime this truck hit a dirt road, the entire assembly would flop around and shake.

Over time, the hinge had developed excessive play, either from normal wear or possibly from being bumped. The internal mirror motors had also developed too much movement, allowing the mirror to move freely.

The fix? A complete new mirror assembly.

Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. A solid mirror isn't just about keeping the truck looking right — it's about having a clear, stable view when you're behind the wheel.

This GMC 3500 is ready to get back to work. 💪

Acura MDX Suspension Rattle

Marshall had a problem… and it was getting seriously annoying

His Acura MDX developed a rhythmic knocking sound that was most noticeable at low speeds. After a little diagnosis, I found the culprit: worn sway bar end links.

Fortunately, this is a relatively quick, simple, and affordable repair that got rid of that annoying suspension rattle.

While we had it in the shop, we also knocked out an oil change and gave the MDX a little interior & exterior detail. Because if you're going to leave the shop, you might as well leave looking good! ✨

Marshall is now ready to hit the road for many more miles.

Isaac's Honda Civic Si just got a new lease on life.
