How far will you go to find your wedding ring. A customer lost hers down the front defrost vents. We found it at the bottom of the evaporator. We had to completely remove the evaporator from the vehicle and separate it to get the ring.

If the heater in the front of your vehicle goes out, if you have rear heat you can pipe it to the front.

Getting the engine ready for a 97 Tacoma that we will have coming up for sale soon. Replacing the timing components, water pump, seals and gaskets.

Before installing an engine, we inspect them. This engine we found a crack were the motor mount attaches. This engine was well taken care of, the timing was done recently along with the VC gaskets. The valves were clean of oil and the cams looked good as if they had regular oil changes.

This crack must have happened during the accident.

We installed a replacement engine with 100K miles. Before installation, we replaced all the timing components, rear main seal, valve cover intake and exhaust gaskets. This car should be good for another 100K miles or 10 years.

Many cars have a timing belt that needs to be changed every 100K miles or 10 years. This is often neglected and could end in a catastrophic engine failure.

Here is a picture of an idler pulley (part of the timing components that need to be changed along with the belt) that failed on a 2005 Chevy Aveo, along with a good one for comparison. This failure bent all 16 valves in the engine and required the engine to be replaced.

I can't stress the importance of oil changes. A good quality oil with the manufacturers recommended intervals. Don't let your oil filter look like this one.

Paint and clear are dry this morning, time for wet sand and buffing. Customer should have their car back today.

It should be ready for the customer tomorrow.
