Hello, I am trying to get a hold of anyone who has knowledge about Harold the Milwaukee Mini owner of the 2002 R50 with 645,000 miles on it when he passed away.
I met Harold in I would say the beginning of 2010ish
I drove for Bluemound Express Moving and was at his home in Bayview on Lake Michigan. I was packing his home up for moving. I spent about 7 hours with him while packing his belongings. Super nice man. I had a love for Coopers and he told me all about his and showed me at the time he had 365,000 miles on her. I went to load his home up and move him to his new home the next day and when we were done. He gifted me a cool folding travel bicycle and his original Cooper Atlas from his car. It gave me the push to purchase my own Mini Cooper. So I bought a 2009 Mini Cooper S about 1 year later. I worked hard to get that beauty. Long story short 2015 WI State Fair myself and my daughter did the minis at the fair day parade. I seen Harold and we chatted a bit and I let him know I drove my Cooper with his Atlas in the back everywhere I took my road trips. From Florida to Texas and all over the southeast.
I logged my trips in it and he has a few hidden in it as well.

I would love to get it to his car if anyone knows where it currently is located. It’s only fitting that it goes with it, wherever it is traveling! Harold would approve.

MINI Looking for a New Home!!

This is a 2005 MINI Cooper S Convertible finished in Electric Blue with a navy blue convertible top and matching navy blue leather interior. It has 122,000 miles and the 6-speed manual transmission.

If you’re in this group, you already know what makes the R52 Cooper S special—the supercharged Tritec engine, the mechanical feel, the go-kart handling, and the personality that newer cars just don’t seem to have.

The car presents very nicely for its age and has been a fun summer cruiser. The Electric Blue paint still looks fantastic, the navy top is a great complement to the exterior, and the navy leather interior gives it a classic MINI look that you don’t see often.

Highlights:
• 122,000 miles
• 6-speed manual transmission
• Supercharged Cooper S
• Navy blue power convertible top
• Navy blue leather interior
• Heated seats
• Clean Wisconsin title
• Adult owned

This MINI has always been about enjoying the drive. Top down on a summer evening, winding Ozaukee County roads, a quick run to grab coffee that somehow turns into an extra 30 miles—it’s that kind of car.

Not claiming it’s a museum piece, but it’s a clean, honest R52 that still gets compliments and puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.

What a beautiful day for a drive!

Today we started in Cedarburg at Covered Bridge Park and made our way to Elkhart Lake. Along the way, we enjoyed two Rustic Roads, beautiful scenery, plenty of curves, roller-coaster roads, one deer sighting, one 12-mile wrong turn, and perfect weather!

We ended our route at Siebkens Resort, where the tavern’s rich Road America history is part of its charm. We enjoyed lunch on the screened patio, along with great food and even better conversation.

Thank you all for coming and making it such a fun day! Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to take any photos. If you snapped some pictures along the way, I’d love for you to share them so I can add them to this post. You can find me on messenger, or you can text them to me. 🚗☀️🏞️

Road trips have been a lifelong passion of mine, and I still find myself opting for scenic routes today - like taking the long way home.

This evening's email caught my attention, and I'd love to hear your thoughts: Why do some people find long drives empowering rather than intimidating?
