Since it looks like today is the day the car is getting sold, all my blood sweat and tears to make this 53 way better than the way Rich got it. I completely redesigned the whole rear suspension with all heavier components and materials. The geometry was all wrong, and he kept snapping the 2 link. I made a new 2 link, and added a panhard bar. Last 2 pics show what a hack job it was when it came over to my house. We put in just shy of 2 years of nights when we could get together to make progress on this thing. Another concern was the fuel tank was sitting on the ground when the air was released from the bags. I raised the tank up in the trunk and made a new curb and floor. I had to hand shape panels in the wheel wells to connect the metal to the flat steel for the air bag compressors and tank. I made a pass thru compressor tank drain to empty on the ground. I made mounts for the solenoids to be hidden with all the lines super clean. We then sprayed the whole trunk with textured bed coating to get it looking legit. I was very happy with the end result, and can say it left my hands WAY better than when I got to it. Off to the pasture she drives. #53

Holy smokes this thing has kicked my butt. Too many angles!!

I wanted to make a 3 tiered, cascading shelf for the corner of the office at GoJump. This is for folded t shirts for sale.

I have the frame all finished up now. I need to fine tune a couple dress up parts like a dimple die panel at the bottom, but I have everything measured, mostly permanently welded, sanded, blended, and set now.

What I didn’t realize when I started this project is that each airplane tail is angled, curved, and even tapered differently from each control surfaced to the next. This was a pain to get them all to match up in the end, and still have a relatively close gap in between them! Also, the underside supporting frame of each tail, I needed to angle to allow the top surface to remain flat, and even follow the exact leading edge at the same angle as the tails when looking directly at them... (Thanks Tony Dyas English for teaching me the right way to do exhaust systems on cars and always have the same angle as the next pipe on duals, and always follow the frame. This has made me a perfectionist in everything I’ve built in my life. Or at least as perfect as I can get something.)

I know it doesn’t look like much, but I have finally gotten a vision on how I want to complete this project and what colors to run to tie this together with the other aircraft inspired furniture in the building. Phewwwwwww.

I made a fire pit last night for my buddie’s daughter’s YMCA Indian Princess Tribe. Their old one was too dang small and fell apart so we went bigger and just added a little extra touch to it. It’s all 3/16 steel so it’s pretty heavy but will actually last now. We made the mount for the pit to get tied to the front of their gear trailer too. I had the sides water jetted from a local shop then slapped it all together last night including the mount in a couple hours.

New interior logo about to go up in GoJump in the next couple days. Water-jetted mirror finish stainless with 3" standoffs, over reclaimed wood backing. Hope my vision comes out proper. Stay tuned for updates.

Another project done. Make a ramp for the front wheel of the airplane to make it foolproof so that the wings and tail don't hit the hangar. Lifting up the front wheel dipped the back of the plane down and allows everything to clear nicely. We are going to add a winch and make it so one person can pull this thing in by themselves.
