Results are in for the FWD class and the racers have chosen to keep the Hobbywing Spec esc/17.5 motor combo and use Sweep D36 tires for the 2026/27 season. This class will continue to be bring your own tire and will be inspected in tech when racing. Tires will also be available for purchase trackside from the series for the racers that need them.

Hopefully this class will continue to grow back up to what it was just a couple short years ago!

Just a few rules updates for the 2026/27 season.

TC minimum weight will now be 1300 grams
FWD minimum 1250 grams

TC roof and wing heights will also be checked on 10mm blocks. Roof height minimum 117mm All wings must be level or lower than the roof line.

Fwd - please see the photo below as the body height rule was updated recently to help accommodate more bodies meeting the legal height criteria.

As of now all other classes remain the same. We’ll continue to update the racers with any changes!

Reminder , today is the last day to vote on the FWD Tire/Esc motor for the 2026/27 season if you raced the class at least at 1 event last season.

UPDATE!!!

I wanted to take this moment to personally Thank Izzy Santiago for all the support and leadership of the Florida State Series over the years!!! As he (SPR) Slowpokeracing steps down as class sponsor of the Formula one class which he helped grow (among other classes) , we continue to greatly appreciate his drive to support and promote RC racing in Florida

Thank you Izzysan and see you at the races!

With that said I’d like to introduce our new Formula One class sponsor who’s no stranger to the class , Mr. Will Carrera and Team PLP Racing !!! Thank you for the support!!
