You can get tickets online at https://www.graysharborraceway.com/schedules/event/487941 to save the long walk up line but also they will be $5 at the gate on Friday as well.

Friday is the First night of the Modified Nationals and always a very exciting night as the Modifieds run two sets of heat races (one straight up from pill draw, and one inverted) with finish and passing points lining up the main events on Saturday. Also racing on Friday night will be a full program of IMCA Northern SportMods and PHRA Dwarf Cars and the night ends with a Modfied Race of Champions race open to former Modified Nationals champions, track champions within last 10 years and 2022 Modified feature winners.

Well the Shipwreck Beads Modified Nationals did not go the way we wanted, but was fortunate enough to even run the event. After discovering last week that we had engine issues, I spent several long nights in efforts to figure out how to make repairs to the engine. Thanks to my friends Mike Harritt, Dan Jansen, and for Eddie /Tyson Blood for lending us parts, we were able to get it together before Friday.
Didn't qualify well on Friday so had to run the B feature Saturday only top 3 advance. Started 7th and finished 4th. Our weekend was still full of proud moments though. Got to see my daughter go from 13th to 3rd in her first main event podium finish on Friday, then again Saturday started around 15th and finished 7th.
Both my buddies Kev Vålen Motorsports and Riley Scherer Motorsports were able to qualify thier way into the Big Show on Saturday with Riley winning his second heat of his rookie year and earning a spot in the top 8 redraw.
Unfortunately, the track and, and circumstances were not good to them. Want to thank my love Peggy Harding for her support along with my friends, family, and marketing partners for thier love and dedication to this race team. Thank you to all fans who stop by as well.

Payton finally got to race on a decent track and did really well.
Started he heat at the back and was able to pass 2-3 cars.
Started he main in P8 and worked her way up to about 6th then spun going to the back of the pack P14. Then worked her way up to the 5th position. A late race caution came out and on the restart a couple cars got her and she finished 7th.
She did a hell of a job driving and got the official rookie flags removed from her car
So proud of her.

A weekend recap of 2 days of racing the Modified Clash at Grays Harbor Raceway .
Saturday heat 3A, started 8th and finished 3rd, heat 3B started pole and finished 2nd. Made the top 8 redraw and drew a 5th starting position in the 24 car main. Made it to forth but fell back and finished 8th. A good start to the weekend.

Sunday:
Started pole in heat 1A and finished 3rd, heat 1B we started 8th and got wiped out in turn 1. Broke rear suspension and tore up body.
My crew of Dan Jansen, Landon Pruett, Jeremy Breymeyer, Mike Harrit, and I pieced it back together in time for the B main.
Started 4th in B main and finished 2nd transferring us into the A Main show starting 22nd.

Started passing cars not knowing where we were, caution came out around lap 24 and the track put lap cars in the line up with lead cars leaving me at the tail end of lead lap, 24 cars behind leader. We took off and passed more cars, some for the 2nd time, not knowing if they were lapped cars or position cars and made it through all 35 laps.
After several reviews from grays harbor staff, I got the final word on Monday that we tied for Hard Charger Award from Elma Lanes by moving up 9 positions to finish 13th.
Want to thank my crew chief Dan, Scherer Motorsports for the borrowed shock, Peggy Harding, and Landon Pruett for all thier help and support.

I couldnt do what i do without the support of my partners Dodge Excavation, WRD, Vaughan, East County Automotive, Razor Chassis by Roth, FGX, Central Welding, Iverson and Sons, my brother Kevin, and Amsoil. Thanks again for the support for this team.
We are still learning this car and setup but I'm sure we will be right there racing for the W here soon.

Finally got to try this girl out. Felt pretty good out of the box. Won my heat, ran 2nd in the main til I hit neutral and dropped to the infield lane as the caution came out for a car slowed in turn 1. Track sent me to the back as well and had to work my way up in the closing laps somewhere in the top 10.
Big thanks to Razor Chassis by Roth for getting us what we need for the build. My buddies, Riley Scherer, Kev Valen, Dan Jansen and my Daughter for helping me build it.
