Just a quick update from Norwich Detailing — I’ll be taking a 2-week hiatus to rest and recover from an injury.

We sanded and scraped down the flaky rust and treated the back half with phosphoric acid. This chemically changes unstable iron atoms in rust by lending those atoms phosphate groups through topochemical reaction. This leaves the metal ready to be painted
The surface was then coated with primer and then black paint.
Next the frame is to be coated in POR15 to freeze the state of the frame as it is in time and provide protection against salt throughout its life
This truck is from 1987 and will look magnificent for its age.
Brakes, brake lines and fuel pump will be changed, the fuel tank will get a paint job and the bed will go back on!
