Do you or anyone you know have a 2013 through 2018 Toyota RAV-4? Have you ever wanted to put a receiver hitch on the back of it to haul bicycles around or one of those cargo carriers? This would be a great opportunity to get that hitch at a great price! We had a shipping error where we accidentally ordered TWO of a particular hitch instead of one… Rather then send it back, we figured we would try to sell it below wholesale to give it a good home!
This is a Curt brand class III 2” receiver hitch part number #13406 and has a 350 lbs. tongue weight capacity and an overall pulling capacity of 3,500 lbs.. This hitch is currently listed at $304.42 as a suggested retail price. MOST shops will probably sell it for $250~$290. You can find them online for around $225~$235.

🚨 Heads up RVers & Flat-Towing Friends! 🚨

A recent post in the Facebook group “RV Fails” showed a catastrophic towbar failure and the owner initially blamed Blue Ox. After reviewing his photos (below), I confirmed it was a generic Chinese-made Blue Ox Avail knock-off/copycat and NOT a genuine Blue Ox tow bar. The owner has since updated the post to correct the initial accusation, but this incident highlights some very critical safety lessons:

‼️ Why This Matters:
• No Metals Testing: The makers of these cheap imitations skip critical metallurgy and factory fatigue testing—relying only on looks and basic function.
• Life-Or-Death Risk: A complete separation of the towed vehicle could’ve caused far worse damage—and endangered everyone on the road. (Thank goodness proper safety cables and a break-away brake system were in use!)
• False Savings: What looks like a bargain up front can cost you thousands in repairs…or worse.
• Possible No Warranty Coverage: Copycat products typically aren’t backed by any manufacturer’s warranty, leaving you unprotected if they fail.
