Perfection!
That’s the only way to do things!
However, it’s not as easy as it may seem.
Here is a run down of how we make your car bumper go from damaged to looking brand new.
________________
1️⃣Preparation: aka the time where we prep the car before the finishing paint goes on.
In this step, we tape off all the lights, plastic, etc. around the damaged area. These will be the areas in which we do not want to get paint on.
2️⃣Filling: in this step we use strong abrasive material to fill in any large holes.
This is not always needed.
3️⃣Sanding: is this step we use an electric sander to flatten out the BAD damaged areas.
We also use a powerful hand sander to flatten out the old paint and damage to make the surface perfect for painting.
4️⃣Wax and Clean: finally, we use an expensive spray that will remove any unwanted fragments on the bumper.
The spray also allows the paint to better stick on the bumper.
5️⃣Prime: now that the damaged areas are sanded, it’s time to cover the large sanded areas with primer.
This allows the paint to blend better with the original bumper.
6️⃣Sanding the primer. In this step we simply just sand down the primer so it is evenly layered on the bumper.
7️⃣Spray Paint: this is the step that we MIX the paint to match the color of the car.
We then use a special spray gun to cover the damaged area evenly with the color of the car.
This may need a few layers.
8️⃣Spray Clear Coat: once the car is painted the desired color, it’s time to make it look shiny.
Clear coat is mixed up and sprayed over the bumper, allowing it to shine and look brand new.
9️⃣Remove Prepping Material: once the car is sprayed and shiny, it’s time to carefully remove the prep material and get the car back to its owner.
