FREEZE WARNING INFORMATION:

It’s that time of year again! If you haven’t done so already, you should schedule your boat's winterization.

If you own a speedboat, jet boat, sterndrive, or any type of inboard motor, we recommend that you schedule your service before the end of November. If your boat is a pontoon, you have a longer boating season. We recommend scheduling your winterization before the end of December.

What happens if we experience freezing temperatures before your scheduled winterization?

For sterndrive or inboard boats, the temperatures must remain below 20°F for 24+ hours or below 32°F for 48+ hours before the engine starts to freeze. We prioritize scheduling winterization for all sterndrive or inboard boats.

Here's a tip for sterndrive or inboard boat owners: if your boat is on a lift, you can lower it into the water. As long as the lake isn’t frozen, the engine will not freeze.

For pontoon boats, the motors are self-draining and will not freeze. A helpful tip for pontoon boat owners is to trim the motor all the way down so that it is vertical. This position will aid in drainage.

Did you know that we also handle construction? Just kidding!

We are building a small accessory building to begin our transition to Brown County!

Currently, we are waiting for our xl building design to be approved by the state, and once we receive that approval, we can proceed with obtaining our local building permits so we can begin construction of our very own boat repair shop!!!! 👏👏👏

From zoning and excavation to permits and everything in between, every step of this journey has been a completely new experience for us. Fortunately, we have received incredible support from many people, all of whom share a common connection—they are from Brown County.

We are truly grateful to be joining the wonderful community of Brown County. We already feel welcomed and can’t wait to call Brown County home!

We recommend that all our customers schedule a Spring Start & Check at the beginning of the boating season. With short boating seasons, it's better to be proactive than reactive—at least that's our philosophy!

Our Spring, Start & Check includes the following services:

- Charging and testing the battery, along with providing advice on its condition.
- Checking all accessories to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Inspecting fluid levels for the engine, outboard, and sterndrive, topping off as needed.
- Starting and running the engine or outboard until it reaches operating temperature, while checking throttle and shift functions.
- Checking the fuel level.

If your boat is on a trailer, we will also:
- Check tire pressure and condition.
- Inspect wheel bearings.
- Assess brakes, if applicable.
- Ensure that trailer lights are functioning properly.

After inspecting your boat, we will inform you of any necessary repairs.

Happy National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day!!
We are excited to share we are moving to Brown County, Indiana!!!
Last Wednesday, we attended our last public hearing for rezoning the property we purchased in Brown County! Since October, we've been navigating the legalities of properly zoning the property. Not only will we be living there, but we will also be running our business from that location. It was an intense process, but we won the vote 2-1!

This week, we will break ground at our new location on Beech Tree Road, Nineveh. We are building a 9,600-square-foot building that will serve as both our home and shop. Our goal is to maintain our current business operations at this new location.

Indy, we want you to know that we aren’t forgetting about you; we love you and are excited to continue serving you! :)
