While adjusting the valves on my GSX 1100 G I noticed the heat stress on the inside of the valve cover. This corresponds with the exaust valve side of the engine. These bikes came jetted extremely lean from the factory to comply with EPA laws and excessive heat was the result. I drilled the caps on the carbs and richened the fuel mix when I got the bike but by that time the damage had been done.

A common problem solved with attention to detail. Most modern motorcycles have either a low fuel light or a fuel gauge. The sending units on these bikes are fuel tight when new but as your bike ages they will begin to leak. These units are manufactured to be replaced and for the most part do not have replaceable seals in them. This was the case with a Suzuki GSX 1100 G. Pictured is the OEM sending unit fixed complete with o rings and brass connecting post. Chucks Motorcycle Restoration is capable of fixing that annoying fuel drip on your bike and saving you several hundreds of dollars
