📢 Attention Valued Customers of Cheker’s Small Engine Repair LLC

I wanted to let everyone know that I will be on vacation Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st.

Any priority repairs currently in the shop will be completed and returned to their owners before I leave whenever possible.

While I’m away, I will have someone available to respond to emergency repair calls as they arise. If you have an emergency or would like to schedule an appointment for the first week of August, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll be scheduling appointments on a first-come, first-served basis once I return.

Important Business Update – W**d Whackers, Chainsaws, Leaf Blowers, and All 2-Cycle Repairs

Effective immediately, Cheker’s Small Engine Repair LLC will no longer accept most w**d whacker, leaf blower, chainsaw, and other 2-cycle repairs unless the customer is willing to sign a repair agreement and meet the required minimum repair charge.

Unfortunately, many residential w**d whackers, chainsaws, and some leaf blowers are considered disposable, and the cost to properly diagnose and repair them often exceeds the cost of purchasing a new one. I will continue to consider repairs on higher-end commercial or premium models, provided the customer agrees to the repair terms before work begins.

Repair Agreement Requirement

To better serve everyone and ensure transparency, all future repairs will require a signed repair agreement before work begins. This agreement will be available electronically or in paper form and will outline the repair process, estimated costs, and shop policies.

As a reminder, Cheker’s Small Engine Repair LLC is fully insured. My goal has always been to provide honest, professional, and reliable service while protecting both my customers and my business. 🚜 Another successful engine swap completed at Cheker’s Small Engine Repair LLC! 🚜

This tractor came into the shop with a broken pushrod that had thrown the valve timing way off, causing the engine to backfire repeatedly and run poorly. After discussing repair options, the owner decided they wanted something stronger and more reliable than simply repairing the original engine.

The decision was made to upgrade to a powerful 23HP Kohler Command V-Twin!

The swap went flawlessly. Since the tractor was originally set up for a manual PTO system, the older electric clutch setup was converted over to the manual PTO configuration. After some wiring modifications and final adjustments, we turned the key and brought the machine back to life!

The result? A stronger, smoother-running tractor with plenty of power and a new lease on life. 💪

🔧 It’s been a busy few months here at Cheker’s Small Engine Repair LLC! 🔧

We’ve been keeping busy helping customers get their equipment back into top shape.

Recently, I completed a sealed hydrostatic transmission service that involved:
✅ Removing the hydro unit from the mower
✅ Replacing a failed oil seal
✅ Draining and refilling the hydro with fresh oil
✅ Bleeding and purging the system to restore proper operation

In the same week I also brought a Toro ProLine 44” back from the dead after it had been sitting in the dirt for a long time! This machine received:
✅ Mower deck rebuild
✅ New spindle bearings
✅ New pulleys
✅ Electrical repairs
✅ Fuel system repairs
✅ Thorough cleaning and restoration work

The transformation has been incredible, and it’s now looking fresher and cleaner than it has in years.

Lastly, I performed routine service and maintenance to a long overdo John Deere E110 with spindle growling and wobble and a neglected oil seal leak making a mess underneath the tractor. This machine received:

✅ New oil seal
✅ New spindle bearings
✅ New drive belt
✅ New mower deck belt
✅ Full general tuneup

It has been quite a month here at the shop, and I just want to say how beyond grateful I am for all of the support from everyone. The amount of customers, referrals, and kind words truly means a lot to me. I couldn’t do this without all of you!
