Credit During the 2024/2025 Catalan Grand Prix, Jorge Martin produced an iconic moment by dragging his shoulder on the tarmac at turn five, achieving an extreme ~60-degree lean angle on his Aprilia. This stunning feat at the left-hander, where he brushed his shoulder (and often his whole forearm) on the ground, was labeled the photo of the season.

Jorge Martín is famous for his extreme riding style, particularly at Turn 5 (T5) of the Catalunya circuit, where he regularly drags his shoulder on the ground. While he became known for this maneuver while riding for Ducati, he successfully recreated the “shoulder down” feat during his first test with the Aprilia RS-GP at the 2024 Barcelona post-season test.
