Modeling for the Milaan Foundation…

Last weekend, Gita walked the runway during the AMPLIFY Gala in Chicago. Milaan Foundation works at the intersection of youth, education, leadership, health, and mental health to cultivate opportunity, agency, and well-being in young people. They empower them with leadership skills, enabling them to become problem solvers who lead and transform their communities. In turn, this event highlighted the girls and young women in India at the heart of this work and the futures they are building for themselves and their communities.

This year at Cover Connect NYC, Ege Carpets showcased their latest rug concept designed by Gabriella Khalil

The Ege X Gabriella Khalil rug concept dresses the floorscape in graphic, rich, and earthy muted patterns. Its designs titled Ribbon, Imprint, Swell and Maze are bathed in latte-like tones varying in warm cream and rich chocolate shades, emphasized with black accents for added depth. It exemplifies the perfect balance of quality and design, seamlessly translating intimate, residential sensibilities into elevated hospitality spaces across a wide range of environments.

Last week, Mick De Giulio celebrated the launch of his book, Mick De Giulio: Kitchen First! Joined by Traditional Home Vice President and Editor-in-Chief Jill Waage, Mick detailed the evolving role of the modern kitchen and discussed the book’s central theme: that in today’s home the kitchen holds the highest position in the design hierarchy - offering rich opportunities for innovation and driving the design for the entire residence. The discussion and signing was held at the MART during Design Chicago.

heimtextil visited Mexico City this week for a press conference, sharing insight into the 2027 show! Margit Herberth, Director at Heimtextil, discussed the 27/28 Trends, visionary textile design, offerings for hospitality and contract business, textile sustainability, and order volumes of all sizes. The fair promises even more synergies, business success and new contacts from all over the world!

Our press lunch was held at the incredible VORAZ — a gastro-pub where shareable dishes incorporate traditional Mexican ingredients with a contemporary approach.

Client spotlight: Ege Carpets

Ege Carpets believes that meaningful progress starts with transparency. That is why they continuously assess and strengthen their ESG performance while documenting their progress through recognized third-party frameworks.

Recently, they have been awarded an EcoVadis Gold Medal in their latest assessment, placing Ege Carpets among the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide. The result reflects a significant improvement in their overall score, increasing from 74 to 83 out of 100 points.

The improvement is the outcome of dedicated efforts across the business to further strengthen their ESG management, policies, actions and reporting.
