Meet Eric, the proud and hardworking proprietor of Precision Transmissions. If you own a car in Brooklyn (or beyond), listen up because I don't often write in praise of repair people, much less car repair shops. But here I am, in praise of Eric and his business.
At various times, Eric has:
—kept his shop open for me after hours;
—refused payment because his last fix didn't work;
—fixed my car and waited months for payment because I was out of work;
—rounded down my bill just because I was a good customer;
—saved me from hundreds of dollars of unneeded work estimated by other shops.And his own estimates have been hundreds if not thousands of dollars less expensive.
Although I originally came to Precision for transmission trouble, I was recently rear ended, and Eric not only did the body work but made sure that the insurance appraisers came back a second time to look at structural and electrical damage that couldn't be seen at first glance. He's not in the pockets of the insurance companies, that's for sure. Customers come first at Precision Transmissions, and you can see that in Eric's unfailingly polite approach to his customers. And need I say that his work is outstanding, whether it is mechanical or cosmetic.

My car wouldn't start just as I finished filling it with gas. The tow truck guy came and got it started with a booster. It was the battery. I called Precision Transmission and Eric let me bring it in without an appointment. He and his crew truly saved the day! A brand new battery was installed and my car was back on the road. Precision performed my inspection last year so I knew how courteous and professional they were. They're the best and I would recommend them to anyone. Side bar: I mentioned that I liked the paint color in the customer waiting area and Eric took the time to find the paint can so I could get the brand and the exact paint color. How cool is that?
