Utilized the Jersey City waterfront location today and there was an issue with the machine, and multiple cars waited 20-30 minutes for an attendant. All the numbers listed were disconnected. Once the attendant came, he was ridiculously rude and let one car out and refused to let everyone else out. He wanted us to wait for “the guy” … at this point everyone had been already waiting 20-30minutes. I had to get out and explain multiple times that we needed to go, and if was going to make us wait he should have made the first car wait. He then began to yell and get nasty. He wanted us to still pay even though we were inconvenienced. Once he finally let us out, we asked his name and he walked away. I would suggest staying away from this company, as their customer service is awful. The employees are on a power trip and aren’t interested in doing their jobs.
The service I received today was nothing close to the following statement on your website:

“Second, as a hands-on Owner operated company, Little Man is capable of being quickly responsive to the needs of our customers.”

My ad hoc request for my car was flat out denied this morning.
Hi Guys, all your credit card machines are down this morning so I had to leave my car without paying. You also had no one on site to speak with the crowd of people trying to figure out what to do. Can you tell me if it will be ok for me to resolve all this after work today ?
You all might remember me posting about 4-year-old Isla Lucks before. You'll be hearing more about her soon, but in the meantime she's the AMAZING little girl who fought and won her fight against neuroblastoma, only to have been diagnosed with leukemia as a direct result from her neuroblastoma treatment!

Isla is treated at Sloan however the Lucks family live in VA which means that they've spent the past few years driving countless times back and fourth (can you even begin to imagine). While in the city for weeks at a time, the Lucks always have a car with them of course, and for anyone familiar with NYC you'll know that trying to find a spot on the street to park is not only frustrating beyond words, but it's extremely annoying too as you're constantly having to move it around when the street cleaning rules are in effect (which is all of the time). If you don't move your car then you end up with a big, fat ticket from the state of NY.

In any regard, while the Lucks get to go home today to celebrate the holiday, why'll be back in the city right after Thanksgiving and this time they'll be staying for approximately 6 months straight as Isla will be undergoing a BMT (bone marrow transplant). When Isla's mom Amy Booth Lucks and I were talking about this, I asked her, what the heck are you going to do with your car? Her reply was to keep doing what they've been doing, move it around day to day as they need to. With all that the Lucks family is going through, the last thing that they should be thinking about is their car and how they're going to pay for another ticket! Enter Little Man Parking.

Lance Howard, from Little Man Parking, is an amazing man who has helped us with our Wish for a Cure event by allowing our guests to park in the garage near our venue. I reached out to Lance explaining the Lucks situation and asked him if he could put me in touch with one of the owners from three of the surrounding garages near the NYC Ronald McDonald House that I had researched. I knew he had garages in NYC, however I thought they were all in lower Manhattan which wouldn't have worked for the family. Without hesitation Lance replied that he did have a garage right in that area and that he would give the family a guaranteed spot for as long as they need!

It seems like such a simple, small thing, having a spot for your car, but this is a huge relief for the Lucks family as it's just one less thing that they have to worry about while their beautiful little girl continues her fight against cancer.

THANK YOU Lance and Little Man Parking!!!

This is just one photo of a small part of my car that is absolutely SATURATED with bird p**p. I mean....I am a reasonable human being & understand pigeons can fly into the garage but this is ABSURD!!!! As a monthly customer - I don't pay hundreds of dollars a month to pick up my car looking like this....I've left voicemails with corporate, haven't heard back yet.
Hey, Little Man Parking, your customers and attendants will love TipWorthy - a FREE app that lets customers easily leave tips when they don't have cash. Get ahead of the competition by downloading TipWorthy's iOS App. It's free, it's easy, it's convenient and it's money in your pocket!
