I would like to say Thank you to Ray Rayyan for helping me and mother in law out with the leases of our new vehicle's. I've always wanted a Truck and finally have one. Ray was very helpful when it came to all our questions and very thorough with all the paperwork leaving nothing left for us to figure out except for what vehicle's we wanted. Which made leasing my new truck very easy. So if you in the market for a new Car or Truck give Ray a call.
During this pandemic it seems as though every industry and individual is looking to help. All except for one. The car dealership industry. The lease is up on my car, and honestly the weeks after I made my last payment I worried about how I would return my lease given the state we have been in for months. I would not be re- leasing another car as I normally would because I am not traveling to work or school like the most of the population at this time. I also would not be able to extend my lease, continue with the payments or cover the extra miles accrued. Knowing all this, I began making every attempt to get the ball rolling. GM financial, the bank to which I made my payments, was a dream to deal with! They told me that given the circumstances they would not only waive the disposition fee due to the fact that I would not be leasing another car but they would also waive the car being inspected by their inspection company to minimize interaction. They would accept the dealerships inspection. I then went on to call the dealership closest to my home as I was instructed to do. That was Manfredi Chevrolet on Hylan Blvd. I was immediately met with aggravation the instant it was apparent that I wasn’t purchasing or leasing a new car. At this point no one even knew I wanted to return my lease. They simply couldn’t be bothered with me if I wasn’t purchasing. After days of back and forth I spoke to someone who assured me that not only would it be handled, but it would be handled when my lease was up on May 7th and furthermore I shouldn’t worry because I had a 10 day grace period. After telling me all this he continued to assure me it wouldn’t come to that. He asked me to call next week so that he can get the right guys in to “ground” the car. Due to Covid, these workers were not in everyday. This all seemed reasonable and the guy seemed sincere enough, and while I was a little worried bc I was cutting it close, I let it be. The following week I called and asked to be transferred to sales,as that is where I was told to call. I was transferred to a machine. I left a message, referencing the details and asked for a call back. I Didn’t receive one for hours. I then called back 4 hrs later and spoke directly to the receptionist who audibly “huffed” at me telling me “we can’t take back cars!!” I still asked to be transferred to sales because maybe that is what she is instructed to tell people. It was then that I was transferred and the line was picked up and put on hold many times before I was sent to a machine, where I left yet another message. I heard nothing the remainder of that day. I called back the next day, this is now the day before my lease is up. I spoke to the same receptionist who continued to tell me I cannot return my car. I explained to her I could not hold on to it indefinitely. She then transferred me to Ray in sales. He took all my info and he too seemed sincere enough when again I was assured I would get a call back in 10 minutes. When I heard nothing for an hour. I called back and asked to speak directly to to Ray. He got on the line and after pretending not to know what I was talking about he told me to “hold on.” I was then transferred to “Richards” voicemail. I immediately hung up and called again for Ray. I was told Ray was busy, even though I was just on with him. So I asked if I could speak to a manager. To that I was told they have limited staff. I said I just need to know how to proceed. At this point I was transferred again and a man picked up the phone. I explained yet again my entire situation. He asked me where I got the car. I explained to him it was from a leasing company. He told me I should have gotten it from him! For all he knew that leasing company could have gotten it from his dealership. But I told him that was neither here nor there at this point, the car needs to go back. He said “well I ain’t taking the car back!”He told me to “take it up with GM” I informed him that GM told me to contact the closet dealership and that they have to take the car. He told he again “well I ain’t taking it back!” I asked for his name and he told he it was Anthony Sanzone. S A N Z O N E... as he spelled it out! It seems to me if I wanted to lease a car from him he would gladly “ground” my lease. It also seems that if the car came from him in the first place he may have taken my car as well. Dealerships take cars that do not originate w them all the time! This is not an annomolly or a favor I was asking. I wasn’t trying to get out of my lease early. I was simply trying to fulfill my end of my contract which was up. Maybe I choose not to get the car from him or another dealership because of the despicable way they do business. I was patronized and lied to by every person in that establishment from they moment they got on the line. They out and out lied when they told me “ not to worry” or “it won’t come to that.” They had zero intention from the start to take my car back. I have no desire to do business with people like that. And when the time comes for me to finally lease another car I will remember the way they conduct business. The leasing company who no longer has to deal with me because I’m not leasing with them now, still checks in to see if my “situation” has resolved. They gain nothing from following up with me other than me remembering their customer service so that that I will do business with them again. Thankfully when I called the bank back, they were equally horrified and told me again, they have to take the car. They too assured me that this would work out. I may need to drive up to 50 miles from my home to a dealership willing to take the car, but to ease my misgivings they would give me a 30 day waiver while they sort this all out. The bank is willing to help out during a global pandemic, however Manfredi Chevrolet and Anthony Sanzone are not. Bottom line is Manfedi Chevrolet and Anthony Sanzone feel they have enough money that customer service or human decency is no longer a requirement for them!
The worst service on my corvette I brought my corvette to Manfredi Chevrolet on November 25 2019 after several weeks and excuses from the service consultant Peter cea he said the corvette needed a new starter new battery and posts cost 2000 dollars on January 9 he said to come for the car after I paid the 2000 dollar bill he went to get the car and it did not start he said they would see what is going on and later told me it would also need a new seat adjuster and wiring under the seat an additional 1500 dollars toTal 3890.47 dollars I pId the bill and when I arrived home and tried to start the car a few days later it would not start. After speaking with Peter cea and him telling me many excuses and weeks of delays vinnie the manager and Peter told me that would not take the car to make the repairs thT I have already paid for this place ripped me off a total disrespect for the customer and after they get your money they don’t repair the car and tell you they won’t help or fix what they have charged you for. It is a terrible place to leave your car. Excuses and delays poor workmanship overcharge first parts and labor and still can’t fix your car
A friend had terrible car service from them. Was about to use their services. So glad I didn’t use them. I received the worst service to my car from Manfredi Chevrolet I brought my corvette to Manfredi Chevrolet on 11 25 2019 after 2 months and lots of excuses from the service department they said they would install a new starter and battery for 2000 dollars when I went to get my car it did not start and the service department said they would have to repair the wiring under the seat. An additional 1500 dollars total cost 3900 dollars when I drove the car home on January 9 2020 it did not work after 2 weeks. The service department gave every excuse and will not repair the car. They are absolutely the worst dealership to go to. All lies and excuses delays and the most expensive charges and still do not repair the cars. I would advise everyone to never bring your car there as they will never do the job right and still charge excessively

Thank you, Tom, for all the personal attention you gave us when we leased this MOST GORGEOUS malibu from your dealership. You have definitely got customers for life!!!!! Your attention to detail is unparalleled and your knowledge of your products is incredible. The exterior white color, which i was kind of unsure of, is gleaming white not at all what i pictured...but your assurance convinced me that i would "love it" and i do. The interior is beyond gorgeous. John said it drives like a dream my only question is....why haven't we been in a Chevy years ago??
